*Reyna*
Reyna smiled as she walked between her parents through the forest to the VonUmbra estate. Her father looked down at her and smiled, "Are you happy, Reyna?"
She laughed, nodding her head, "Yes, Dad, but I don't understand how you all planned this, we just saw Mom and Daivik earlier in the week!"
Sienna grinned, "Daivik and I knew you were mates after that meeting at the academy and there was no stopping us from planning the party."
"You know us DiEdaans and VonUmbras will use any excuse to party together. Just have fun tonight, we promise not to do too much ceremonial stuff." Alaric laughed as they walked through the clearing to the stately home in the middle of the forest.
"That reminds me honey, what blessing do you want to celebrate this occasion?" Sienna asked.
"Familia Vinculum." She blurted out without a second thought. She gasped, her eyes growing wide as her freckles burst in a blush across her face.
"Okay, we can do that one." Sienna chuckled.
"No, no! I-I didn't mean to say that!" She groaned, covering her face.
Her mother wrapped her arm around her shoulders, "You know you can't take it back," she chuckled, "that was your first answer, your first instinct. It's what your heart wants. There's no need to be embarrassed." She smiled kissing her head.
"B-but that blessing is -"
"The one your heart desires. Don't fight it, Reyna. That blessing is perfect." Alaric smiled at his daughter, squeezing her hand in reassurance. She really doesn't understand why her parents are so relaxed about this. She looked at her coven chatting and laughing around them. They're all so happy about this, as if this isn't the strangest thing to happen to their coven since the genocide. What the hell is she missing?
Daivik, Marika and Lucian were standing at the door to greet them while the rest of the VonUmbras were inside waiting patiently for the DiEdaans to arrive. Marika was nearly bouncing out of her shoes when she saw them. She couldn't contain herself when they walked up the steps to their home, she pulled Reyna in for a hug before Lucian could even touch her.
"I'm so glad it's you, Reyna. I worried for years that VonLita girl was going to be his mate, but I knew. I knew it was you." She smiled, hugging her tight. Reyna laughed looking at Lucian for help.
"Mom, can I say hello to my mate?" Lucian asked as Marika blushed releasing Reyna, but she was pulled into the arms of Daivik, who crushed her with another hug.
"Welcome to the family, Reyna. You might see a different side of the VonUmbras this weekend. I'm going to apologise for our clan in advance, they're just really excited for you both." Daivik laughed and she nodded.
"Thank you Daivik and Marika. You might see a different side of me if my demon decides to make an appearance tonight." She smiled and they grinned.
"We can only hope, come inside everyone is waiting for you." Daivik said as Sienna and Alaric hugged them and followed them inside, the rest of the DiEdaan coven following after them. Reyna and Lucian stood outside letting them pass.
Lucian took Reyna's hand bringing it to his lips, "You look beautiful tonight." He smiled, tucking her hand in the crook of his arm.
Her freckles twinkled over her face as she looked up at him, "Thank you, you clean up pretty well yourself." She said and he laughed kissing her bejeweled head.
Shall we get this over with? He asked as they walked through the door.
There's still time to run. She sighed and he laughed again.
