*Julia*

Julia decided to take a walk around the academy taking pictures of herself in various places to send to her friends in the mortal realm. Besides the eye candy that is Lucian VonUmbra, the grounds of this place were incredible.

"You're one of the mortal students aren't you?" She heard someone say from behind her. She turned around to see a beautiful blonde demon walking towards her. She recognised her from breakfast this morning.

"Yes, I'm Julia. Who are you?" She asked and gulped at the murderous look in her crimson eyes. She didn't look as welcoming as Reyna or the other creatures.

"I'm Nyx, I saw you at Lucian's table this morning." The demoness snarled.

She nodded smiling nervously as she stood over her, "Yes, that's...that's where I've seen you." She said her breath coming short as Nyx leaned down to look at her. She took a sniff around her and barred her fangs.

"You like him," she growled her eyes turning black, "stay away from Lucian or I will rip your heart from your chest, mortal." She whispered to her. Julia was shaking, tears pricked the corners of her eyes.

"Julia! Where did you go honey?" She heard her mother calling for her. She quickly pushed away from Nyx and ran towards the sound of her mother's voice.

Nyx smiled watching her run, that was far too easy. Now all she has to do is get rid of Reyna. She grinned walking towards the main hall of the academy.

*Reyna*

Reyna was humming to herself putting on make-up while her mother's familiar flitted around her head, braiding and fastening jewels in her hair. She finally felt refreshed after the nap she took with Lucian. Her hangover was finally gone just in time to get ready for the ball.

Her eyes traveled to her dress in the mirror. Varati has made her another dress for the occasion. She eyed the sheer fabric wondering why Varati's dresses for her keep getting more risqué.

Pua finished with her hair, tapping her on the shoulder and nodding towards her dress. He helped her slip into the off the shoulder champagne dress. It fit her body like a glove, the slim floral sleeves laid over her shoulders, accentuating the starlight demon markings across her collar bones.

The sheer lace fabric swept over her curves with shimmering gold floral lace dotting the material to hint at her body beneath. The gown fell to the floor with a solid satin champagne train in the back. She turned around and blushed at the way the translucent fabric was lined with the same floral pattern down to her spine stopping just above her butt, where the train began.

Varati just might have outdone or over done herself on this gown. She just hopes this isn't too much for the mortals. She sighed, hearing a knock at her door. Her heart thumped in her chest and a blush lit up her cheeks. She knows it's Kova, but why is she so nervous? She chuckled to herself padding across the carpet to the door.

She opened the door and her demon set ablaze. Her heart was palpitating so hard as she let her eyes roam over him. His black suit slid over his muscles accentuating them just right. The white and gold paisley patterned waistcoat and champagne cravat gave his eyes a warm molten glow that sent goosebumps over her arms. How has she been so blessed for her soul to belong to him? Reyna's freckles were dancing across her face from the look he's giving her.

"Um, Varati made my dress again...is it too much?" She asked, a breathless laugh choking in her throat. Her throat felt dry, he needs to stop looking at her like that. She blushed when he touched his fingers to her cheek, gently lifting her chin to look at him.
