I was surprised by that. "Whoa, whoa. Time out! You did not tell me that!" I pointed an accusing finger at Hecate. "I wouldn't have needed the disguise at all!"

She smiled. "It was fun watching you, Percy. Or should I say Peter? We don't have much amusement in our immortal lives."

I groaned loudly. "Come on! Don't you think I've had enough of you gods using me for your entertainment? I can complain to Dad...."

"But you won't."

"Nah. You got me good."

Amelia looked from my laughing face to her mother's. "I'm sorry, but who are you?"

Willing the disguise to fade, I replied, "Sorry for lying to you, Madam Bones. I'm Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon and I'm here for-"

"You forgot the Hero of Olympus. And killer of Gaea." Hecate interrupted.

Madam Bones' eyes went wide, and she spoke, "How can I help you, Mr. Jackson?"

"Please call me Percy. I really am here about Sirius Black's trial. I came to England a couple of days ago and ended up going to Gringotts to withdraw money from my father's vault. Apparently wizard children of Poseidon are really rare, so the goblins made me take a blood test to prove who my dad is. For some reason, it also registered me as Heir to the Black Family." Hecate had explained all the pure-blood laws and systems, and being Heir or Lord to an ancient family was a big thing.

"The Black Family? You mean to say that you are related to Sirius Black?"

"I must be. Lady Hecate isn't telling me anything about how I am the Heir, but she insisted on accompanying me to meet you and ask that he get a trial."

"A trial?"

"He didn't get one fourteen years ago when he was imprisoned in Azkaban. Without a trial, his Gringotts accounts and properties have been frozen and I cannot access them. This is how the matter was brought to my notice."

Amelia Bones looked horrified at the news. "He never got a trial?" I shook my head. "From what I found out so far, a Mr. Crouch was supposed to get him a trial, but it never happened. Seeing that he was never actually sentenced, the goblins said that he still retains the position as Lord of the House. There aren't any males left in the Black line other than Heir Malfoy and he cannot take up this Lordship."

"I understand. Many Ancient and Noble houses suffered a severe reduction in numbers during the First War and quite a few are in danger of dying out. If you shall accompany me, we can speak to the Head of the Aurors and the Minister. Deny it as they might, the families of the Sacred Twenty Eight are entitled to special privileges by Wizarding Law. The main issue is finding him, and ensuring a fair trial."

Having a bit of a brainwave, I changed my features to mimic Sirius and Mom's a little more, losing my tan and green eyes in favour of the silvery-blue eyes and pale skin that was supposedly a common Black trait. Hecate nodded approvingly at my new look. "That will help your case."

Madam Bones knocked on a large, ornate door labelled, 'Office of the Minister for Magic, CORNELIUS FUDGE' The Minister was inside, along with Kingsley who I recognised from the Order meetings.

"Madam Bones, what is matter?" Fudge asked.

"There has been a request for the trial of the convict, Sirius Black."

He looked thunderstruck. "A t-t-trial?" He sputtered. "Why the bloody hell do you want a trial for a mass murderer?"

That set my blood boiling. Adopting the snooty expression I had seen on the majority of the portraits I had seen of Mom's family, I said, "Perhaps you misunderstood, Minister. My name is Heir Perseus Black and I am unable to access the Black Family Vaults at Gringotts Bank as the Goblins have frozen the family accounts due to condition of the current Lord Black."
