Once we had captured Loki, Fury took him off our hands, with Thor staying to ensure that he did not escape again. The rest of us returned to Stark Tower, to 'rest and recuperate' as Tin Man put it. Clarisse and Nat had refused to be separated after a tearful reunion a few hours ago, which none of the Avengers had understood. No one had dared to argue with two annoyed Daughters of War who were holding sharp pointy weapons, so the others had to manage in the few undestroyed rooms.(A/N: Natasha is a daughter of Ares. She had left Camp when she had turned eighteen, but often visited her siblings. She returned to fight in the Battle of Manhattan against Kronos, and met Percy there.)
Leaving the others to clean up and get medical attention, I made my way to the beach. A few minutes in the ocean washed away all the battle fatigue and helped me feel fresh again, healing all the cuts and bruises I had got. Just then, I heard Dad's voice in my head. Percy, come to Olympus right now. Zeus wants to talk to you.
I teleported to the throne room, and joined Dad and Zeus, who were already there. Zeus looked annoyed. "Odin wishes to thank you, Perseus for your help in capturing the rogue Asgardian. He and I have talked it over, and agreed that you may reveal the existence of the Greek Pantheon to the Avengers, however, do not reveal the true might of the Olympians, including yourself. Or else, they will expect us to solve all their problems for them. " I was thrilled to hear that, for I hated keeping secrets from people I trust. We discussed a few other matters, before Zeus dismissed me.
I remembered my promise to Beth, and teleported to Cabin 0. She was sitting on her bunk, her face scrunched up in worry. "What's wrong, Bethie?" I asked her. She got up from her bed, and launched herself at me. "I was so worried Percy! I didnt know what had happened in the fight!" I felt guilty for not telling her sooner. "We're all fine. You didn't have to worry about anything. Besides, I'm an Olypian. Very few things can hurt me badly, and Tony, well he's more than capable of looking after himself, okay?" She sniffled and nodded.
"Hey Percy!" It was an IM from Chris. "We're going to have shawarma, at some place Tony knows, before Thor returns to Asgard with Loki. Are you coming?" I looked at Beth. She shook her head vigorously, mouthing, "Shawarma's horrible!" I turned to Chris. "Nah, you guys have fun, call me when you're back at the Tower, I'll meet you there." I swiped my hand through the Mist, cutting off the connection.
"Thanks for the tip, sis. Now where do you want to go?" I asked her. She shrugged. "How about we go meet my mom? I haven't seen her for a few months, and she'll love to meet you. And we can go to the Tower later?" Beth nodded eagerly.
Leaving her to pack a bag, I went to the Big House to talk to Chiron. I gave him the lowdown on the Battle, and told him about the stones. "I've seen three, Chiron. The one in Riptide, one in Loki's wierd stick, and I'm pretty sure the Tesseract has one too. They all have the same energy, but the stone in Riptide isn't doing anything special."
He looked thoughtful. After some time, he answered, "Percy, I have heard of the Infinity Stones, which, according to legend, possess the power of Chaos himself. Many say they were formed by the last remanants of his power, while a few, like me, believe that Chaos created them deliberately for a specific purpose. As for the Aether, I think that the threat you faced was not powerful enough for it to use its powers. Remember, each of the stones are sentient beings, but I am not sure as to what their purpose is. If my suspicions are correct, I cannot tell you about it, you must discover it yourself."
I huffed in frustration. Even though I was a God now, people still treated me like they had when I was twelve. "That is because you are still a Kelp Head like you were back then, Percy." Chiron joked. I had apparently spoken out loud. I left, before remembering something. "I'm taking Beth to the Tower for a few days, dont worry, she'll be safe. And the others will return sometime tomorrow. Bye Chiron! See ya later!"
