Steve finally agreed to come back to Earth after arguing with us as to the whereabouts of Bucky for half an hour. I dropped him off at Avengers Tower, and left for Camp Half-Blood, along with Beth.
Surprisingly, five new half-bloods had come to Camp in the week I had been away. Two had been claimed already, as a daughter of Aphrodite and a son of Hermes. The others were still in my Cabin, hoping to be claimed.
They looked at me in awe as I was introduced, and were too scared to open their mouths. I really hated that the little kids were scared of me, despite my young age. The Olympians, with their superior attitudes and powerful auras had made such an impression on the kids that they did not dare to look me in the eye. It was always "Mr.Jackson, or Yes, Sir or Of Course, Percy Sir."
One day I had a brainwave. (Yes, I am quite capable of having those. And no, being a Seaweed Brain does not mean that I am completely brainless.) I asked my friends to remember all of my 'Seaweed Brain' moments and narrate them to a magic pen (why do you assume that it is Riptide?) that wrote it all down. Every night, at the campfire, one incident was read out by Chiron, while everyone laughed their heads off, and I laughed with them.
As a result, the kids looked up to me as a cool older brother who did not mind pranks as long they did not seriously injure anyone. One day, as Chiron and I were sitting outside the Big House, playing Go Fish, I heard a loud shout of "SURPRISE!!" And a girl on a pegasus swooped in out of nowhere and landed on our table, scattering the cards everywhere.
Startled, I jumped. And turned the girl into a baby. It rolled its eyes at me, and I recognised my baby sister, now literally a baby.
Chiron looked shocked. "H-how?"
"My time powers. They're the only ones I haven't gotten full control of yet. I do that," I said, gesturing to Beth, "Sometimes when I'm startled. And I have no clue how to fix it."
He sighed, before thinking for a while. "I believe there is another time manipulator in New York. He has better control of his powers, so you should ask him for help reversing Beth's condition. And if he is willing, some training.'
I shrugged, before picking up Beth the Baby. "The Address?" I asked.
"177A Bleecker Street. Ask for the Sorceror Supreme."
I teleported to the door, and knocked. It was opened by an Asian dude wearing wierd clothes. He looked like someone out of Assassins Creed, but without the hood and creepy makeup. He looked at me suspiciously.
"Who are you, why are you here?" He asked.
"Percy Jackson. This is my half-sister who I accidentally turned into a baby. Chiron said something about a Sorcerer Supreme being able to help?" I gave him my pleading baby seal eyes. (They're irresistible)
His face was unreadable. After a long and awkward silence, he looked up and down the street, as if checking for people. Seeing the empty area, he opened the door wide, and let me in. I followed him as he walked from one room to another, through what looked like a museum.
"What is-" I began, but he interrupted me. "No questions. Follow me quietly." Whatever, creepy assassin dude, I thought, and did as he told me to. Finally, we ended up in a large, dimly lit room, where a dude dressed in weirder clothes was flying, with his back to us. He seemed to be arranging something on a shelf.
Without turning around, he started. "Ah, Wong! Would you please-" Wong, my guide, cleared his throat loudly. Floating guy turned around, and looked at me, and Beth in my arms. "Thank you, Wong. I'll take it from here." Wong nodded and disappeared.
The guy came down gracefully and landed in front of me. He held out his hand. "Dr Stephen Strange, Sorceror Supreme. And you are-"
"Percy Jackson, Olympian. Nice to meet you, Doc." I shook his hand. His eyes widened a little at 'Olympian'.
"Do you know of our existence? The Greek Pantheon, I mean. Everyone knows of the Norse, after Loki." I asked him.
"No, I did not. It is our job to keep watch for potential threats, and thus we knew of the Norse long ago, much before Thor came here for the first time. So you say you are Greek, Mr. Jackson."
"Yes, I am. I was demigod son of Poseidon who later became a God. And please, call me Percy."
"Oh! That's why you sound familiar. You were on the news lots of times, the most recent being the Battle of New York, if I am not mistaken you are Blizzard?"
"Yes, I'll tell you my story later, but could you please fix my sister?"
He nodded, and told me to put her in a chair. He made a wierd crossing gesture with his hands, and his locket opened to show a bright green stone in the centre of the eye-shaped locket. It radiated an aura similar to the other Infinity Stones. He then made a green dial appear around one hand, and turned it. Slowly, Beth started to age, till she was back to normal.
"I'm never going to prank you again, bro. Not after that fiasco. No siree. Not at all. I really don't-" I cut off her rambling by teleporting her to Camp.
"Now that we have that out of the way, let us talk. Doc?" I turned to him. He smiled, before leading me to a chair. We sat there and chatted for a long time, where I told him of my life, and he told me about his.
Finally, I asked him the question that had been burning in my mind. "Is that an infinity stone?" I pointed to the locket. "Indeed. It is the Eye of Agamotto, also known as the time stone. How do you know of the stones, Percy?"
"I have one, Doc." I summoned Riptide. "The Reality Stone has 'chosen' me to wield it, but I cant feel any difference in power."
He looked surprised. "The stones choose the most worthy people in the whole world to wield them. I have not been chosen, but the stone allows me to use its power as I am the head of its keepers and protectors."
"Cool! Is Wong one of them too?"
"Yes. We have three Sanctums. This is the New York one. Together, the three Sanctums make up the Earth's defense against other dimensional beings."
"So you guys are wizards?"
"We prefer Master of the Mystic Arts."
We then agreed on a training schedule, where Doc offered to help me with both my Time powers, and how to channel the Aether's power.
"Shall we start right now?" He asked, and I agreed.
"You told me that you can control water, right? Time might be similar. You have to envision it as something that is fluid, and once moving, will be hard to stop. But once you mess with time, you'll end up creating a completely different timeline, that may or may not have a different future than the one before. Now try to put this shattered cup together by reversing time. "
I did as I was told. I imagined a fluid, that did not want to be checked. I imagined it leaving me and going to the glass, and then I let it go.
FLOOOOOMMMM! A huge wave of water flowed through the room at a horrific speed, ploughing down everything in its way. Strange disappeared under a million litres of water, after he had been knocked unconscious by a brick hitting him on the head.
Panicking, I willed the water to dry, before bandaging Doc's head and drawing the water out of his lungs. He immediately woke up. "We really need to work on that, Percy. A lot. I cannot have you drowning people when I tell you to fix a cup. Try again." Three hours later, I went home exhausted.
Every day, I made my way to the Sanctum, and trained with Strange, for four hours straight. He was a funny, sarcastic, but serious guy, and I began to see him as a mixture of mentor and big brother, and he had started calling me lil' bro, which I was totally fine with.
At the end of a month, I was exhausted with balancing my godly duties, directorship of Camp and training, but it all paid off. I was fully in control of my powers. Doc let me go with a smile, and a threat that he would come after me if I did not visit often.
Grinning, I promised, and made my way to Mom and Paul's. Mom was now four months pregnant, and I couldn't wait to have another half-sibling. As soon as I knocked on the door, My mom opened it. She seemed skittish and nervous.
"We have a guest, Percy. Please introduce yourself to him." She told me, before fixing the collar of my shirt and leading me in.
I looked at the dude twice, before groaning. "MOM! Why is Gandalf here? Please don't tell me that those books are real too..."
