Heather Farrow sat infront of Blake's High School's only piano with her eyes shut and her fingers placed over specific keys. She was aware that all her classmates had left for lunch and that her only friend would soon find her here. Without opening her eyes, Heather slammed her fingers down onto the keys and began playing Beethoven's seventeenth piano sonata in D minor.

Out in the busy corridor, students and teachers walked past the music room without glancing, except Ryan Jeffries, the school's bad boy. He had his own band which was big in the small town of Fortland, for a while, everyone thought they would become bigger as it was Ryan's last year at high school, meaning he'd be able to go out and study music properly.
Ryan had been watching the back of Heather from the small window in the door for a good few minutes before he was approached by Cameron Hall.
Cameron peeked in and rolled his eyes before Ryan spoke up, "What class is this?"
"Uhm," stuttered Cameron, turning his head, "Advanced Composition,"
"What's she?" asked Ryan, knitting his brow together.
"She's...More, advanced," chuckled Cameron as one of Ryan's band members joined them.
She whispered something in Ryan's ear before the two of them left the door, leaving Cameron to enter the room and break Heather's inspiration.

"I think everyone left," announced Cameron, confidently walking over to the piano.
Heather slammed her hands down on the keys and groaned, "I need to ace this,"
"Oh and by the way, that Ryan-Rocker-Dude was totally checking you out," smirked Cameron, finally reaching Heather's side as she pulled her shoulder bag on.
"Ryan Jeffries saw me geeking out?" asked Heather, sounding concerned for her privacy.
"He saw you blissing out and he was into it," smiled Cameron as Heather walked past him towards the door.
"No, he isn't...into it, Cameron," moaned Heather, pulling the door open and heading into the corridor where Ryan and his bandmates were standing.
"Yeah, he is, Heather. He's way into you," laughed Cameron, following after her whilst pulling his iPhone out his pocket.
"Do not take his picture, Cam," snapped Heather, walking down the corridor faster.
"God, I'm not an amateur," said Cameron, spinning on his heel whilst snapping a perfect picture of Ryan.
Heather glanced over at Cameron who was coming to her side whilst Ryan was still watching the two of them.
"You're welcome," smirked Cameron, rolling his eyes.

Over the next few days, Ryan started hanging around near the music room which Heather tended to be in while she was practicing her piano, Cameron stopped showing up to get Heather at her demand as he always started conversations about Ryan. Instead, he met her at her locker.
On this particular Friday, Heather exited the music room and headed to her locker which was directly across from the music room, she began unlocking the door when she seen Ryan approach her, the second the locker door was open, Ryan was leaning against it with his hand on top of it.
"You're Heather," said Ryan, narrowing his eyes as he looked her up and down.
"Yeah," said Heather, in a light tone.
"Good, I just wanted to clear that up," smirked Ryan, taking a deep breath, "I'm Ryan,"
"I Kno-...Hi..." blushed Heather, putting sheet music in her locker as Ryan frowned at a sticker on the inside of her locker door.
"Is that like...street?" asked Ryan, nodding towards the sticker.
Heather's eyes widened as she looked at the black and white sticker of Beethoven with the caption,'I LISTEN TO DEAD PEOPLE," on it.
"Don't mock the master," blushed Heather, trying to close her locker.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I got some tickets to see a pianist, you want 'em?" asked Ryan, letting go of her locker, "A friend of the family had them and couldn't go,"
"Oh really?" asked Heather, seeing Cameron come down the corridor.
"Yeah, I can pick you up on Saturday at say...Seven?" asked Ryan as Cameron approached the couple.
"Yeah," smiled Heather as Cameron came to her side.
"Hi, I'm Cameron," said Cameron, introducing himself since Heather had banned him from being near Ryan as he always took pictures.
"Hi, right. I'll see you later," said Ryan, nodding his head before turning on his heel and walking away towards his friends.
"Oh...My God," said Cameron, looking amazed.
"He just had a question about classical music," mumbled Heather, wandering down the corridor after putting her locker keys in her bag.
"Well...Okay, he better be nice to you or I'll crush him like the bug he is," sighed Cameron, who now hated the idea of Ryan and Heather since he heard certain rumours about Ryan.
"Yep," agreed Heather, pushing the door to the courtyard open.
"Okay, we get it. You're in love, go away," moaned Cameron, shooing a kissing couple away, "You know there are two types of students in this world, Heather, those who have relationships in high school,"
"And those who wait til college, like us. So much happier," laughed Heather, shielding her eyes from the sun which was rather rare in Fortland.
