"Jen. What are you doing here? You're supposed to be at work." I didn't hesitate and gave Paul a hug.

"I saw you weren't there when I went in and I asked Creighton if he had heard anything and he told me what happened to Christina. I had to come and check on you all, see if you need anything..."

"Thanks Jen." I turned to face Julie. I gave her a hug, too.

"Is there anything you need?"

"Oh, no. We're fine. They are about to release Christina and we can go home. She's got a pretty good looking cast, but that's it. She will just not be able to use her left arm for a little while but she will be fine. Thanks for coming by."

"Paul, you knew I would."

"Do you want to see her?"

"If it's okay."

"Well, of course. Follow me." I followed Julie to Christina's room. "I'll leave you two alone." I nodded and pulled up a chair to Christina's bedside.

"Aunt Jen...I'm glad you came by."

"Of course. But you do know you're not supposed to run out in front of cars, right?" We both laughed.

"I'll try not to let it happen again." She smiled back at me.

"If you need anything during the time you're recovering, you let me know...okay?"

"Okay."

"You look pretty tired, so I'll go. Your dad said you're getting released soon so you can go home and get some rest." Christina nodded and rolled over in the bed to rest.

I got up and put the chair back where I got it and opened the door to leave. I turned back and smiled at Christina. She smiled back.

"Aunt Jen?"

"Yes?"

"Love you."

"Love you, too."

I walked out to where Paul and Julie were sitting.

"Did you two talk?" Julie asked with a smile.

"We did. She looked pretty tired so I told her she needed to rest."

"Thanks again for coming." Julie gave me another hug. "I'll go get us some coffee while we wait for Christina to be released.

"So I guess you're heading back to the office?"

"Unless you need something..." I waited to see if he needed anything. Paul wasn't the type to ask anyone for help.

"We're good. Thanks Jen." I put my hand on his shoulder.

"I'll call you later and check on Christina." Paul nodded and I left to go back to work.
