I've heard somewhere
That we all wear
Invisible veils
That blind us
To what's
Right in front of us
And there are some people
Like me
Who cxam lift that veil
And see the world
And its people
As they truly are
Now
Maybe that's not true
But I don't know
Maybe this invisible veil
Is why we are in such trouble
With the world
Maybe if more of us
Learned to
Lift this veil
Like I have
We'd be able
To admit our
Wrong doings
Instead of saying
"It wasn't my fault"
I've seen too much
And I fear
We won't
Be able to loft the veil
But maybe I'm wrong
And all of us
Will learn to lift
This terrible veil
