'Snape' the words rang in his head like a curse buzzing past him, just missing his head. Snape? That's where they were now? That's what it had come to... he had tried to apologize and tried to talk it out with him, of course, he cared but he knew he wasn't in the wrong either, what did the man need to move on?! She moved to the table with a handful of forks and Harry went to call the others, heading upstairs himself, likely to wash up. Snape was quick to follow him to the bathroom, but the door was promptly shut in his face before he could enter.

"Harry." He allowed his forehead to lean against the cool door, Harry's unsuspectingly doing the same on the other side.

Was he just going to do this until he agreed to have a child or leave? He wasn't even alive, he had never had a family, surely he couldn't be expected to raise a child... The door opened and Harry attempted the shimmy past him but was blocked in his path. Harry attempted not to look at him as Severus reached his hand up and caressed his face with the back of his finger. Harry's bottom lip quivered in just the slightest before he slipped through an opening and headed back downstairs, leaving Severus in the doorway. Harry swallowed the soft whimper and held back the urge to fly into Severus's arms. He could admit now that a part of him wasn't capable of finding the exact reason he was so angry, and so hurt, but whatever it was, it felt like a lump blocking his throat.

"Dad will come around." Albus' voice suddenly said from beside him.

"He still cares a lot for you Severus... let's go have lunch now?"

"Mr. Sock said you put olives in dad's sandwich... he won't feel good if he eats those, Mr. Sock told me so. Last time his face turned red, and he coughed a whole bunch."

"Did you take them out?" He responded as they marched down the stairs to which he received a swift nod.

The others were seated at the table and the young boy let go of him just as they reached the bottom of the steps there. Severus sat in his seat next to Lily and bit into his Turkey sandwich, which was loaded in vegetables, and now olives, which he didn't mind at all. Several dill pickles accompanied his plate as well. There were small discussions about Quidditch across the table before school was brought up as they would be starting the following month which would be September.

"When will you all start school at Hogwarts?" Severus tried to join the conversation looking in Albus' direction.

"James still has three years to go, I've four and Lily's got five." He went on to say.

"I saw you outside playing catch, you'll all make fair players like your father. Did he tell you he's the best Hogwarts has seen in the last century?" The youngsters startled to bustle about in excitement.

"Even better than mum?" James challenged him.

"At the time... I believe he helped train her." He raised an eyebrow at Harry, forcing him to join in. Harry had been deep in thought and blinked at suddenly being brought into the conversation, just in time to spot a certain cat attempting to pull his cheese from his sandwich.

"Mr. Sock!" Harry and Albus cried in unison, the chastened feline releasing an indignant meow as it bobbed quickly under the table with the bit he was able to tear-free. This of course had Lily laughing, Harry struggling not to join in. For the first time since last night Harrys eyes locked with Severus, and for a moment neither remembered the argument, just this zing past through their spines and they were smiling, but it was only for a moment before Harry turned away again, clearing his throat-

"Well... I wouldn't say I was the best... I had far too many things going on to truly commit as much as I wanted, plus Ginny could make me look like a novice on a broom anyways." He laughed, making James who was secretly the bit of a mama's boy, smile to himself, while Lily pouted.
