Chapter Five
"Callie, are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" I said curiously. The little blue eyed boy started to giggle.
"Because you just got hit with the ugly stick!" he said making the rest of our class burst out laughing.
I stared up into those blue eyes through the tears and wondered what I did to deserve this.
"You're so ugly that Hitler would cry," he said laughing. (A/N No Offense to anyone)
"S-stop!" I said crying. I tried to cover my ears with my chubby little hands but I could still hear their laughter. "Stop! I didn't do anything to you, why are you doing this?" I cried.
The little blue eyed boy just laughed.
I choked. "Sebastian," I said quietly. I could hear his light laughter.
"Callie, it's so nice to see you again. Walk with me?" I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"Uh I can't, I have to eat lunch," I said visibly shaking.
He scoffed. "Take it with you. It'll be a lunch date okay?"
Knowing if I were to fight him I would regret it, so I nodded meekly and walked to the cafeteria doors, his hand resting on my lower back.
Leading me outside, he walked slightly in front of me, showing me just how much he had grown. All I could think about was the little blue eyed boy, compared to the guy standing in front of me now. Lost in thought, I just agreed to get into his car without thinking. Only when he started the car did I realize where I was.
"Wait. Sebastian where are we going?" I cried shrinking back into my seat.
He turned to look at me, a grin lighting up his face. "It's a surprise," he whispered before returning his gaze to the road.

Standing in front of this lone tree, the swing barely hanging on, the tree old, losing its life, it made me sad.
"I can't believe you took me here?" I said quietly.
He threw me a sad smile. "I wanted to tell you something important. Why not end the friendship where it started," he said grinning.
"Friendship?" I said angrily. "Friendship?" I was yelling now. "You call this friendship? Are you insane? Or did you not get the 'I sent you to a boot camp because I hate you' thing. How could you possibly think we were friends? I hate you; I've hated you since you turned on me, also in this spot. So maybe this tree has some good memories but it has more bad ones," I finished.
"Callie listen, I can explain everything-"
"Shut up, I don't care what you have to say. You ruined my life, so don't you dare for a second think I'm your friend," I viciously spat the disgusting word.
When I saw the familiar dirt path we were walking on, my heart skipped a beat thinking that Sebastian would bring me here.
The path had started at my small elementary school which is abandoned now because they were building a new one but this location wasn't a good one. At the time it was built they didn't have a choice but now it's in a safer place, unlike this one which is surrounded by a forest. Children used to play hide and seek and one day Sebastian stumbled upon this path which lead to an old oak tree with a rope swing. It was like our secret little place, also the place we met.
I was giggling as I ran away; Tommy's counting getting quieter as I desperately tried to find a place to hide.
Noticing a small opening in the tree's I backed into it, only to trip and fall over the small hill that I hadn't seen. There was a narrow dirt path that led further into the forest. Curiosity and the loud footsteps getting closer forced me to stumble down the path. After walking for a couple minutes I notice a small clearing. Walking slowly and cautiously into the clearing I noticed one lone tree that sat in the middle of the grassy area. Tied to the tree was a small rope swing which held a boy, a boy with silky black hair.
Obviously sensing I was there he turned to me, revealing the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. They shone like the clearest Caribbean Sea, and enticed me, begged me, to come closer. Being drawn in I took a couple steps towards the boy, only to see a large smile adorn his face.
"Hi," I said shyly. This boy was the epitome of beauty. His hair hung just above his eyes, the silky black color perfectly framing his pale face, his cerulean blue eyes shining as though he was holding the world in his hands. And for all I know he could be.
He stood up from the swing causing it to sway lightly. Turning his body to face mine he took careful steps towards me. He was graceful, innocent even. The way he moved made my heart race. Who was this beautiful boy?
"Hi, my name is Sebastian, but you can call me Seb. What's your name?" he said, once again gracing me with his beautiful smile.
"Callie," I said breathlessly.
"How old are you Callie," he said laughing a little. That sound was music to my ears.
I held up five fingers while shouting, "Five!" and giggling.
"So am I!"
I just giggled some more.
"Callie? Do you want to be my friend?" the beautiful blue eyed boy asked me.
"Sure!" I said excitedly.
He just smiled at me and took my hand, leading me over to the swing, where we both sat, and smiled.
"Callie please, remember when we met here? We were such good friends-"
"That was then; you've changed, and in turn you changed me. I'm not the naive little girl I once was and you clearly aren't the innocent little boy either."
"Callie I wanted to apologize-"
"Apologize?" I shouted. "You can shove your apology up your-"
"Shh, listen!" he said urgently. I stopped talking for a minute.
"I don't hear anything," I said confused.
"Listen closely."
I could faintly hear in the distance the sound of running water, and I was pulled away from the clearing and into a memory.
"Sebby stop!" I whined pouting. He just laughed.
"You don't want to go any higher?" he said holding the swing still.
"No, I'm afraid to go to high," I said blushing.
He just stared at me for a little while, "You can't live your life in fear Callie."
"Wait, Sebby do you hear that?" I said shushing him.
He paused momentarily. "I don't hear anything," he said obviously confused.
"Listen closely."
After a moment, a look of realization dawned on his face and we were up, running towards the sound in a heartbeat.
"Wait Sebby, I can't run that fast," I said stumbling over my chubby little legs.
When he finally stopped I bent over placing my hands on my knees, breathing heavily. "Sebby," I began to whine.
"Callie, look," he said astonished.
I looked up seeing a sight almost as beautiful as Sebastian. There was a small waterfall flowing into a small pool of water which lead to a series of other waterfalls and pools. The greenery, obviously being provided proper nutrients was greener than anywhere else.
"Wow, it's beautiful, just like you," I said without thinking. After realizing what I said a squeak noise came from me as I slapped both my hands over my mouth.
"You think I'm beautiful?" he said smiling at me.
I just blushed while he laughed.
"Everything is just as beautiful as it was when we were little," I said remembering the past, letting a small smile slip onto my face.
"Even me?"
I couldn't help the blush that lit up my cheeks like a Christmas tree. "I can't believe you remember that," I said hiding my face in my hands in embarrassment.
I could hear him walking over to me, until I could see his boots through my hands. I felt him grab my hands and pull them away from my face.
"Callie, you don't have to be embarrassed, I remember that because it was important to me. You were important to me," he spoke softly.
"Don't give me that crap, you've been bullying me since I was ten," I cried out.
"Callie listen to me, I need to tell you something. That's why I brought you here, I need to explain-"
"Explain what? Why you suddenly started bullying me? Why you started throwing insults like they were footballs? Why you suddenly turned into a...a monster?" I yelled.
"Callie you need to calm down and listen to me."
"Shut up! I don't care about what you have to say. No stupid sweet words you can say now can ever take away all the pain you've caused me. Every day, every damn day I tried to justify what you did. I always thought 'he wants to be popular, something I wasn't' or 'maybe I did something without knowing it'. I thought I just wasn't good enough for you, day by day I knocked my self esteem down peg by peg until it was gone. Every day, every insult was torture. You knew, you knew I was insecure. But you threw it in my face as much as you could. Nothing you can say now will make up for that."
He stood frozen in shock, his hand slipping from my wrist. I just stared up at him, "Callie..."
I just turned and ran, letting the tears fall, faster than they ever had.
Im sorry all of my chapters have been so short, i am trying to improve that. But tell me what you think about learning some of Sebastian's and Callie's past?
