~5 years later~

~Blake's POV~

It's been 5 years since the incident involving my parents, I still can't get the horrid image out of my head. I don't even think Eevee and Growlithe haven't either, seeing your trainer taking their life, I wouldn't think my master would've done that. After the incident, Johanna took me in and cared for me, me and Red bonded a lot. Me and Red treat each other as brother and sister, we even have to share a room because of the small amount of space in the house. Speaking of Red, Today's when He start's his pokemon adventure! I quickly finished up my breakfast and ran upstairs. I ran to the door at the right end of the hall, I grabbed the cold, silver doorknob, turned the knob and slowly and quietly opened the door. Red was sleeping soundly on his bed, his raven hair going many directions, covering most of his face. I quietly walked into the room, when I was a few inches into the room I grabbed Growlithe from my bed and tip-toed to Red's bed. I put the puppy pokemon on Red's bed, Growlithe walked on top of Red and started to lick his face. Red groaned and jerked his face away from the puppy, but Growlithe continued to lick his face. Red finally got up, he turned to Growlithe and petted the puppy pokemon.

"Morning~!" I said in a singing tone, I flicked the lights on. "...yeah" Red said yawning and rubbing the tiredness from his left eye. "Well you should get ready and go downstairs for breakfast, you'll need it for your big day!" I exclaimed. "...right, well I'll be down in a couple minutes" Red replied. I smiled and grabbed Growlithe and heading downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and set Growlithe on the floor, I walked to grabbed the bag of pokefood and filled both bowls with pokefood. "Is Red up?" Johanna asked turning to me, I nodded, Johanna turned back to cooking some more pancakes. I knelt down to Growlithe, "Go get Eevee, tell her breakfeast ready" I commanded Growlithe, "Growl!" Growlithe replied, running to the living room where Eevee is. Then Eevee and Growlithe both came running into the kitchen, both instantly started chewing on their food. I sat down in a chair and giggled at the two pokemon, then Red came downstairs in his usual attire but instead he had black gloves and a red and white hat.

Red sat in the chair across from me, Johanna sat a plate that had pancakes, pieces of bacon, and some scrambled eggs. Red grabbed a fork and started chowing down the pancakes first, I got out from the wooden chair that I sat in, grabbed a glass cup from the cupboard and poured orange juice halfway into the glass. I gave the glass to Red, "Thanks" He said taking the glass of orange juice and taking a sip from the glass of juice. "Your welcome" I replied, I turned to Eevee and Growlithe, Eevee was still eating while Growlithe was completely done, washing the food down with some water from the water bowl. I picked up Growlithe and started to pet his fluffy coat. "So, do you know what starter you're choosing?" I asked Red, "yup" he replied. "Really? who?" I asked, eager to know. "Charmander" He replied, "Cool" I mumbled. "So why aren't you going on a journey?" Red asked me, I had to think about that.

"Well I didn't want Johanna to be here alone, and she would probably need all the help she needs since you're gonna be gone....and my friend, Blue, always wanted to be a pokemon trainer and now she can! plus its unfair for the other trainers that they start with one pokemon and I start out with 3" I explained. ".....oh" Red said, "plus" I lowered my voice "I might catch a pokemon for her so she can have some company". "That would be nice" The raven haired male replied, I nodded "Well you should get going, you don't want to be late!" I exclaimed. Red nodded, he got up from the chair, grabbed his backpack from the couch, and walked out of the house. I turned to Johanna, "yes I did remember to put some money and a potion in his bag" I exclaimed. Johanna sighed in relief, I rolled my eyes and checked on Eevee. She was playing with the now empty bowl that she ate from, She then noticed I was watching and stopped, she sat peacefully on the wooden flooring, wagging her tail playfully. I grabbed Eevee's pokeball and returned her, I picked up Growlithe and walked to the door. "Johanna I'll be training Eevee and Growlithe, I'll be back later!" I said walking outside, heading to route 1 to train up Growlithe first.

~Time Skip~

"Eevee use Quick Attack!" I commanded, Eevee did as it told and swiftly attacked the caterpie making the caterpie faint. "Good job Eevee!" I said encoraging. I looked up at the sky, it was already dark out. "I guess we were training our here for a while now" I exclaimed. I looked back at Eevee, the pokemon started glowing. A shining sphere surrounded the silver coated Pokemon. My eyes widen, is she evolving? but what is Eevee evolving into? The sphere calmed and shrunken, you can see a faint image of the now evolved Pokemon. The pokemon's silver coat turned to a dark black coat, a blue stripe on her ears and tail, also a blue circle on her forehead and the top of the legs, and yellow glowing eyes. "Umbreon!" She cried, "is that what pokemon you are now?" I asked, she nodded. I nodded, I sent out Growlithe, "Growl!" Growlithe cried. "Growlithe I introduce you to Umbreon, one of many of Eevee's evolved forms" I exclaimed. The puppy Pokemon walked to Umbreon, they stared at each other for a while until they started playing around. I smiled and giggled, "okay guys we gotta go home" I said returning both Growlithe and Umbreon into their pokeballs and ran home.
