The two went to the professor Elm's lab in New Bark Town to obtain Gold's very first pokemon. The lab had shelves upon shelves of books, the two walked up to professor Elm.
~Blake's POV~
"So I guess your here to get a starter Pokemon?" The professor exclaimed adjusting his glasses. "Yes sir" Gold replied back, I nodded responding. "Please pick your starter from the table" Professor Elm asked as he motioned to the table with 2 pokeballs on top, wait...2 pokeballs? Aren't there supposed to be 3? I turned to Professor Elm, "Excuse me Professor, but, aren't there supposed to be 3 pokeballs not 2?" I asked the Professor. "About that, the third starter was stolen, we tried to find the thief but he got out of sight quickly" Professor Elm exclaimed. I nodded and looked back at Gold, he picked the one pokeball in the middle. "So I guess you picked Cyndaquil, is this what starter you want?" Professor asked, "I'm certain" Gold said to the capsule containing the fire starter. The Professor nodded and handed Gold a red machine, "That's a Pokedex, it's an encyclopedia about Pokemon you seen or caught." The Professor exclaimed, Gold nodded and set the Pokedex into his bag. "So that's pretty much it, I hope you become one of the best Pokemon trainers, I expect great of you two" he said, we both nodded in response and headed out the lab.
Next is to get through Route 29 to get to Cherrygrove City.
~Gold's POV~
Now that I have a Pokemon I can now start getting stronger! With me and my Pokemon! We'll one day become champions! Yeah!!
I looked back at Blake, she had no expression on her face. Oh shit, I forgot to say goodbye to my mom! I turned to Blake, "Blake, I gotta go do something, meet me at Route 29 please?" I asked, she nodded. "Great! Thanks!" I said then ran to my home.
~Blake's POV~
I looked at the gold eyed teen run to his household, I smiled. I turned back and walked to route 29.
'When do I tell him?'
"When you think he needs to know..."
'But I think he should know now'
"Now is too early"
I looked at the Marowak spirit, she just nodded. I nodded back, I got to route 29. Patches of tall grass was placed everywhere, trainers waiting for opponents to battle, and many trees. I leaned on a nearby tree, I stared at the small pond, it seemed soothing.
"So ready for training?"
'What?'
"Did I stutter?"
'No...'
"Okay then, let's go train your powers"
'But how about Gold?'
"He'll be back, don't worry"
'Okay..'
~Golds POV~
"Be careful!" My mom yelled, "I will!!" I yelled back running to route 29. The scenery looked beautiful, I looked around for a while, I couldn't see Blake. "Blake!!" I yelled, I kept looking around. I heard a shuffle from somewhere, I turned back, there stood Blake. I smiled and walked to her " where'd ya go?" I asked "got distracted from something...no big deal" she replied.
"Okay then" I said walking up to the patch of grass. I looked at it anxiously, "you don't know how to catch a Pokemon do you?" I heard Blake's soft voice in the distance, I turned to her and nodded.
She sighed and ran up to the patch, a Caterpie attacked. She grabbed a pokeball from her belt, "Go! Shadow!" She said throwing the pokeball sending out a Gengar. She has a Gengar?! Damn... "Shadow use Hypnosis!" The Pokemon did as it was told, a beam hit the Caterpie. Resulting to the Caterpie to fall asleep."Good, now, Shadow use bite" she commanded. The Gengar bit on the Caterpie's body, the Caterpie looked very damaged. Blake retrieved a pokeball from her bag, she threw the pokeball at the sleeping Caterpie. A beam of red surrounding the Caterpie then getting sucked into the red and white capsule. One shake, two shakes, third shake, click. Blake grabbed the pokeball with the Caterpie inside, she showed it to me, "caught" she said and returned her Gengar . "It's now your turn, here" she handed me 10 pokeballs. "Thanks" I replied, she nodded in response.
I walked into the patch of grass, a Rattata attacked. "Go! Cyndaquil!" I said sending out Cyndaquil, "Cyndaquil use tackle!" Cyndaquil attacked the rat Pokemon with all its might. The Rattata bit into Cyndaquil's fragile skin, "Cyndaquil use tackle again!" I commanded once more' Cyndaquil did as it was told and tackled the Rattata with all its might. The Rattata look weak, nows my chance. I grabbed a pokeball and threw it at the Rattata. One shake, two shakes, three shakes, click I smiled and grabbed the pokeball. I caught Rattata! I returned Cyndaquil and set Cyndaquil and Rattata's pokeballs on my belt.
"Good job" Blake said, "Thanks" I replied smiling. She smiled back "well we should get to Cherrygrove City, you have gym badges to get" she said walking deeper into the route, "Hey! Wait for me!" I yelled catching up to her.
~Time Skip~
~Blake's POV~
We finally got out of Route 29! That took forever! But at least Golds team got higher leveled. We both went into the Pokemon center and healed up our Pokemon. I walked to the PC. I set Caterpie into the box and released it, I logged out of the PC and healed my Pokemon. Gold already rented a room for the night.
When the Center Lady finished healing my Pokemon I headed where Gold was and we both walked through the hallway and into the room.
I entered the room first, it was like any normal hotel room. "I'm gonna change, I call the bed closest to the window" I said walking into the bathroom.
I came back out of the bathroom with my pajamas on, the lights were out, and so was Gold. I smiled at his sleeping body, I walked to my bed, pulling myself into the fluffy covers and drifting to sleep.
