It was one cold December afternoon and Maya Hunter was sitting at the Matthews while she was keeping the ten year old Auggie busy.
She had grown fond of the little boy and even though he is like her own brother she feels like he is so much more than just her best friend's little brother.
The eighteen year old finished high school just a few months ago but she didn't have any plans to go to college since she didn't know what she wanted to do.
So now she just watches Auggie and Ava as they play.
But these days she has also been pretty distracted with times and doesn't know what to do.
All of her friends are off to college while she doesn't have an interest in that.
But she does know she is behind in everything.

Maya smiles as she stands up from where she was sitting.
She goes over to the kitchen where she quickly grabs a bottle of water when the door opens.
A guy in his early twenties comes through and immediately sees the young blonde.
For him she just got more gorgeous as she grew older.

"Hi Josh. Your brother should be here any moment," Maya said and sat down next to the kids.
"Thank you Maya. Where is my niece?" Josh asked as he took off his jacket.
"She still has a class till five," Maya said and Josh sits down next to her.
"Don't you think you should think of a future for yourself?" Josh asked.
"Let me rather go make coffee before you get ideas," Maya said and stood up.

Josh shakes his head at the sight of the girl not wanting a future for herself which was extremely strange for him.
She worked hard in her last two years of school and now she doesn't have any interest in it at all.
But who knows what is going on in her head?

"Josh? Thought you're only coming at six," Cory said as he came through the door with Topanga and a two year old girl.
"Nope. I'm here. Trying to convince this one to give the college life a start. But who knows why I am if she doesn't even want to listen," Josh said and Maya shook her head as she helped the two year old up next to her.
"Ella tell your uncle to stop," Maya said.
"Uncle Josh, stop it," Eleanor said and Josh shook his head smiling.
"Okay, I get it. I'll stop," Josh said.
