Maya exhaled as she landed in Los Angeles already noticing the change in weather. She smiled taking in the warm air as she took her jacket off. She took out the box from her handbag as she opened it seeing a necklace with writing on as she had to hold back her tears.
She knew it would be something special since it was Josh but she didn't know what it would be. She got a taxi as she went to the area she would be performing. She smiled noticing it was just a block away from an apartment as she went into the place.
"How can I help?" a man asked.
"I'm looking for Jack Goodman," Maya said.
"Talking to him."
"Maya Hunter, pleased to meet you. I'm the new..."
"Ah I know. Welcome, Maya. Sorry I wasn't sure who would show you. Abby! Come here, Sweetheart. This is my daughter, Abby, and this is our new entertainment, Maya Hunter she's going to perform a few nights," he said.
"Welcome. Mom arranged a room just above for her. Come. I'll show you where you will be staying," she said as Maya took her things going up stairs with her.
Maya saw as she entered a small apartment smiling as she didn't know what to say. It was very small but it was also something she has never seen before in her life. She smiled as she thanked Abby for her effort before she started to unpack.
