Maya exhaled as she was sitting in her apartment while she heard as the people below were having fun. She shook her head pulling the covers over her head as she heard her computer smiling at the name.
"Boing, aren't you supposed to be studying or something else than still being awake at 11pm?" Maya asked as Josh smiled at the nickname.
"Why are you still awake then if it's 11?" Josh asked as Maya smiled rolling over.
"It's only 8pm over here and they have some huge party down stairs which I don't want to be involved with," Maya said.
"Since when does Maya Hunter not want to party on her birthday?" Josh asked as Maya sat up exhaling.
"Since I hate it in Los Angeles. I want to come home so badly," Maya said.
"Come home then. What's stopping you?" Josh asked.
"Besides the fact that a plane ticket is way too expensive, Shawn just informed me he is moving with Mom and Layla to Ohio. So I yet again don't have a choice but to stay where I am. But it's taking everything in me to not get on a plane," Maya said as Josh exhaled knowing she was unhappy.
"Oh, Maya. I wish I could help you," Josh said as Maya smiled.
"It's okay. Don't worry about it. I'll be fine," Maya said.
"So that's how you're spending New Years Eve?" Josh asked.
"Yes. And I don't want to do it any other way thanks. Why are you calling?" Maya asked.
"To check in on you. Maybe I can come and visit over the summer or so," Josh said.
"Then you have to work. I'll be fine. I have to go before my boss's daughter comes looking for me. Bye, Josh," Maya said.
"Bye, Gorgeous," Josh said ending the call.
