Cate's Perspective
I sipped on my overprice iced coffee which I can't even enjoy because of I am nervous. While waiting on Catie and Helen (Anne's Mom) to get here. Plus I didn't sleep since last night when I got the call from Catie.
"Mommy!" I heard a piercing voice and saw little Catie in my right side. I smile widely as I stood up from my seat.
"Hey!" I stood up fast and wait for Catie to jump on my arms. She hug my tight like she really mean it.
"I miss you Mommy" She whisper to my ear.
"Oh honey I missed you too! How are you baby? Oh this is my gifts." I said and pointed the cart with my wrapped gifts inside. My friend help my picking out this gifts this morning. We randomly picked up toys also I gave her the newest design for kids clothes in my company.
"Oh my God Anne will definitely freak out to this lots of gifts." I heard Helen from my back.
"Hi Mrs. Jackson where have you been?" I asked and put down Catie in my seat earlier.
"I just walked instead of running following this little demon." Helen and Catie gasped as she saying she was offended being call a little demon.
"Shall we go to your place now? Or do you guys want to check out other place before we go?" I asked both of them as I pick up my shoulder bag.
"I bwought my savings I want to buy Mama's a gift to thank her. " Catie said and shows us her piggy back from her back pack.
"Awwwe" Me and Helen sync.
"Sure, what do you have in your mind?" Her grandma asked a question.
"I wanna buy cake for Mama!"
"Okay Let's go honey" I put my bag on the cart and push the cart that has gifts.
"I feel like I do not deserve this lots of gifts." Catie blurted out.
"Hey, you deserve everything. Don't think other wise okay?" I pat her head and continue to walk.
"But this is a LOT." She pouted.
"Lets have a deal for your next birthday I will bring only one gift no more gifts."
"Deal!" Catie was holding my right hand as we walk.
"I can see the cake shop! Huwwwy!"
Helen agree to wait outside the shop while she look for my cart.
"Do you know your mama's favorite flavor of cake?" I ask Catie as we check the store.
"N-no, do you mommy?" She looked up to me telling me that I should know or else we might pick a wrong flavor for Anna.
"Of course, let see I think it's red velvet flavor that she loves." I pointed the white cake with a red icing around it.
"Huwwy we should buy it now!" She pull me to the counter.
"Good Afternoon Maam what can I get for you?"
"Can you give us the Red Velvet cake over there?" I handed my card. After processing our order she gave my card back with the cake.
"Yay! Let's surprise Mama!" I released a big sigh before I follow Catie.
