"Here we are again," I say, "But we aren't 25 yards away from each other this time. We are together. Forever." "You are so right on that one," says Peeta. "We will be together. Forever."
I slowly lean in and kiss his cheek, while walking into my old house in District 12. I missed Victor's Village. In fact, I missed all of District 12. But only 1/4 of it is still standing, and I'm glad to be back home, where I belong.
Everything is the exact same where it's been. Some of mom's old herbs are still in the kitchen, my coats still haven't left the coat rack and Prim's room is-
Prim... I start shouting her name. "PRIM! PRIM! PRIM!" Peeta runs in."Katniss, are you okay?" I fall to the floor sobbing, with my hands buried in my face. "I still can't imagine life without Prim here. She's already dead at age thirteen. She was supposed to have a happy life Peeta. I was supposed to go to her wedding, her baby shower(s), I was going to do everything with her. I wanted to be an aunt. Now I can't be one..." Peeta kneels down and puts his arm around me, "It will be okay Katnip. Prim is looking at you right now in that sky, knowing you would've been the best auntie in the world. This is the new beginning Katniss, and she is glad we aren't in the Revolution anymore. We are at peace and we can't be any less happier." I slowly raise my head up and stare into his big blue eyes.
Those blue eyes have special powers of their own. You stare into them and immediately, you are casted towards them. You can't stop looking at them. I suddenly see the eyes coming closer, then I feel his soft lips on to mine. I fall asleep in his arms, warm and snuggled, knowing that Peeta was right. This is the start to a new beginning... He then carries me and puts me on the couch, falling asleep together...
