Peeta woke me up. His screaming and crying is the saddest thing I have ever heard in my life, other than Prim's screams. Once he found me on him, he cuddled me for the longest time. I've never been held for so long. It's like he felt relieved. I guess he thought I was going to leave him. I would never do that. When his leg got injured in the first games, I didn't leave him. In the second games, we were forced to leave each other by Beetee's plan. I never wanted to leave him. I'm not going to leave him again.
We've probably been in there for about twelve hours at this point. I hated that little room. It was about the size of Prim's room, very small and very dark. I started crying, until a peacekeeper walked in and grabbed me by my wrist. "Let's go." said the peacekeeper. Suddenly, Peeta started freaking out.
"NO," said Peeta, "LET HER GO!!" "PEETA STOP!! IT WILL BE OKAY!!" I replied while turning to him. "Katniss, I can't risk losing you again. I'm not leaving you. If she goes I go!" We got a backup peacekeeper to walk Peeta. We had no idea where we were going, but I knew I was safe because every time the peacekeeper would yell at me about my posture or something, Peeta would hold my hand.
We then walk into this ginormous parlor. It's probably three times the size of our house in Victor's Village. I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was just so white! My eyes started hurting. Why can't they add a dash of green in here? Or sunset orange? There's a table in the middle of the room, with a white leather chair on the very end of it. The chair started talking, "Katniss Everdeen. Isn't it a pleasure to see you," I could tell by the voice that it was President Snow. He was moving his hands in an evil motion, then he turned around his chair. He looked exactly the same, and I mean the "exact same. Even his beard was the same length as last time.
"Bring her over here." He says. I start to walk over before Peeta starts fighting the peacekeeper and starts running to me. "PRESIDENT SNOW, IF YOU TOUCH HER, HURT HER, OR KILL HER, I HOPE TO GOD THAT YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE A RIGHT TO KILL YOU! I AM NOT LEAVING HER AGAIN! YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!" I can tell Peeta was still having flashbacks. President Snow just nodded his head, and Peeta walked over and held my hand as soon as Snow started talking to us...saying this long sentence about Panem and how we've destroyed it. Peeta and I were just about done with conversation, until President Snow handed us white roses. I couldn't touch those stupid roses. Those ugly scented roses that sparkle in your face are just so terrible. If you cannot already tell, I'm not much of a bright person like Peeta, but he wasn't too thrilled about those roses either. He just stared at it, while squeezing my hand really tight. I wanted to throw the roses back at Snow, but I'd be shot in an instant if I did, and by Peeta's expression, he wanted to do the same thing.
Snow was still talking to us about our disappointments until I interrupted him, "Take me back to my cell." What?" asked by Snow and Peeta. "You heard me." The peacekeepers did my orders and took Peeta and I back to our cell. I just wanted to be alone with him. "I'm not leaving you again." said Peeta. "Me either Peeta." I followed that sentence with a kiss, and I fell asleep on him, knowing I wouldn't leave him again.
