"Come on, the boys are already there & they wanna see you."
"I still don't understand why I had to put make up on and get dressed to see the boys?" I laughed, seeing the stadium come into view.
"Because they wanna show you something."
We arrived in the car park and got to the field.
"You wait here, I gotta go find them.
"In the middle of the field?"
"Yeah." He laughed, running off to the side.
"What the heck is going on?" I mumbled to myself and heard something playing over the speakers.
I looked up and seen the big screen playing a video in front of me.
It was all the boys dressed in their uniforms.
"Hey Ava, just a message from the boys here at the Knights club. We're so glad you're healing & on the road to recovery. You've been in our prayers & thoughts, both you & Kalyn. We're glad he's back, & we're so glad you're healthy & safe, but we wanted to each give you something to hopefully brighten your day." The screen cut off and I looked around.
That was so sweet.
I wiped the tear from my eye and looked to the side.
The guys were fully dressed in grey tuxes and each held a white rose in their hands.
"Oh my god."
They were smiling and walked out to me, kissing my cheek & handing me the roses.
"Glad to see you're doing well Ava."
"Wow, thank you so much." I smiled, taking the flowers.
The followed eachother and each handed me a rose, making me blush.
"Hey Ava, you look amazing." Pete whispered, kissing my cheek and handing me a sunflower.
"Aw thank you Pete, can I ask what's going on?"
"No, you can't." He laughed, walking off.
"Wow, you're something else." Chad said after him, making me laugh.
"Thank you Chad, you guys are the sweetest."
He grinned and walked off.
"Mikey!"
"Hey beautiful, you look amazing! I'm so glad you're okay."
I smiled and he kissed my cheek.
"Thank you." I laughed and he handed me the flower.
"He'll be here shortly."
I nodded and sat back down again and the sound played over the speaker again.
This time it was just Kalyn in his uniform.
"Ava. Where do I even begin? Ever since I first met you that night you were wearing the strippers pink cowgirl hat I knew I wanted to spend my life with you."
I laughed and wiped the tear off my cheek.
That felt like it was so long ago now.
"And then you invited yourself to slowly move in with me & we've just grown from there. We've had some minor setbacks & some really great rides, but I know everything we've been faced with we've stuck together & worked through them."
I fanned myself & wiped my face, why would he make me put make up on if he just wanted me to cry the whole time.
"You've been through so much lately but somehow you've been MY rock through it all. You're the strongest person I know & my life is so blessed to have you in it."
I looked to see all of his teammates moving to stand under the goalpost in front of me and I smiled.
What the heck was going on?
"You are my everything & I love you so much."
The audio stopped and he disappeared from the screen.
I looked at all the guys and they were grinning.
I heard someone cough behind me and I turned to see Kalyn on one knee.
I smiled and had tears cloud my vision.
"Will you do the honour of becoming Mrs Ponga Ava?"
"Oh my god, a thousand times yes."
He grinned and pressed his lips on mine & I heard the guys whistling & cheering.
"I love you." I whispered & he grinned.
"I love you more baby." He whispered and Mikey kicked a footy through the goal post.
The boys all cheered as he scored a try and I smiled, watching them run to us.
Some went straight to Kalyn and grabbed him and the others came to me.
Chad & Pete wrapped me in a hug first and I smiled.
"Congratulations sweetheart."
"Thank you for doing this, I loved it."
"It's the least we could do for you guys." Pete said, smiling at me and I nodded.
He knew.
"Congratulations beautiful people!" Mikey yelled, hugging us both and I smiled.
"Thank you Mikey." I said and Kalyn lifted him up.
"Mikey helped me plan this whole thing."
