“It’s always nice to look out the window” Ginny said but Peter asked her why (to be clear this was during their childhood years when they were still innocent from the curse that was put into their land even though they were already told of the history of Winterfrost) she is saying such things due to the fact that they never celebrated Christmas in their entire life. “I really wish there’s Christmas Peter. Watching these few flakes of snow falling from the skies give me hope that one day, we will celebrate Christmas.”

Peter moved closer to Ginny and comforted while she is starting to have tears from her eyes “I do too dream that one day we will have that but for now, we need to be consistent of our faith and try to inspire people around us which is really not that easy.” Both are sitting in a bench inside Ginny’s home. You see, Peter is always welcome to visit them and it’s also the other way around. For Ginny, he looks at Peter as her older brother and best friend. Between the two, Ginny is the one who inspires Peter while Peter motivates Ginny in her inspiration though both are not completely aware of that and in addition, they do not also notice that they somewhat inspires their family because of their dreams.

About their family, Peter’s father died (when Peter was still five years of age) from severe illness while his mother still lives with him. For Ginny, her family is complete however her older siblings already have other families so not all of them live with each other anymore. Ginny still lives with her parents and two younger siblings. Their home is not that close to Peter’s but that does not stop them from having time with each other and to be honest their families are friends as well. Though Peter lost his father and Ginny’s elder siblings does not live with them anymore, their family is full of hope and peace but as for Peter and Ginny, they believe that their dreams will not turn to dust.

As the evening came that same day, all people gathered in the center of the village and created a bonfire to start their prayer and song. “Is this the world you want? Is this the world you want? You’re making it, every day you’re alive.” After they sang the said song, the current leader of Winterforst announced that that was the last night they will sing the song and in the next coming evenings, they will just have the bonfire and light up all the houses of the village then return to their personal activities. As Ginny heard those words, she wept besides Peter as he comforted her and after that night, the land of Winterfrost was covered with silent nights and solemnity as their faith faded more.

During dawn, Ginny asked Peter why the leader of their land banished the song that gives them hope. Peter suggested that the leader might have lost his faith in all things and as he continued “I know that Master Dawn still had his faith or up till now but the people and the past might’ve frightened him but he is just a victim as well.”

“Of what?”

“Victim of what our ancestors did. Their cruelty and battles to obtain the fraud treasure drove them mad and gave desolation not just within themselves but in the land of Winterfrost as well” Peter continued.

“So you are merely blaming them for what they did?”

“No. I do blame what made them do it; the spirits that corrupted their minds from ever doing those such things. They were deceived by the treasure and believed what a stranger has told of them. They should’ve just been alerted and cautious and thought first before they did that. But, that was the past, the history and we can never erase that anymore for we now live at the present to feel the wrath and the curse that was put into us.”

They returned home after they had that conversation. At the age of 9 and 10, they were thinking like young adults. Both are concerned not with toys or childhood possessions but of dreams and of other people. This was described to them by Master Dawn as he clearly knows both children. He saw how they inspire people and even him. He even watches both of them day by day. After Master Dawn declared of total solemnity, he is somewhat hurt deep inside but he believes that that was a better decision.

A year after the song was banished from their place, Winterfrost grew more solemn and their daily routine likely imprisoned them from the reality that there might still be hope after all. Noting really changed in their weather. One day, Ginny asked Peter if she would like to go with her and create an impression of an angel that just fell from the sky in the snowy surface then show it to other children in order for them to do it as well. “So your intention is to give other children hope and faith despite this cursed winter?” Peter asked.

“Precise” she answered.

Peter then continued “Winterfrost is now falling but not all are losing their faith. Showing them that there are still people who believe in the possibility of winter’s death can move them and realize something. We will try that.”

“It’s been a year since your father’s grandfather’s song was banished but I know that our hearts stay warm because they are filled with hope.”

Peter smiled as she said those words then both went outside and Ginny laid down on the snowy surface and created an angel impression. At their surprise, there were five children watching her and they smiled then they also lay down and created an angel impression while they showed gladness in their face and laughed altogether. This made Ginny and Peter glad as well for they have seen hope from these children and so as others see that, they began to do it as well. The thing that Ginny did made her faith to grow much stronger. Peter believes that these children must not experience the curse of eternal winter for they are innocent and they have to celebrate Christmas as well (which is still impossible for the winter destroyed many of their crops and riches). As for them, their faith grew stronger and belief that one day, the curse will finally die and they will finally live again.
