chapter 8|| run away

Felix woke up only to notice his best friend wasn't beside him, which was weird because Eric was never before Felix. He shrugged before getting dressed for school.

He walked into the kitchen where his mother had breakfast set up. "Morning mom, have you seen Eric?" He asked before eating a strawberry.

"He left earlier, he said he had something important to do and that he'd see you later at school." Felix nodded.

"Well I guess I'll see him later." Felix said eating his breakfast.

His mother sat down and stared at him curiously. "What?" He looked at her confused.

"How was your weekend with Jisung?" She asked cheekily.

"Mom—"

"Aw, come on you spent the weekend with your crush and you're not going to tell me how it went?" She pouted.

Felix blushed. "Nothing exciting happened, so there's nothing to tell."

"If you say so." She sulked a little, she had been curious all weekend and this was the response she received.

"I better go before I'm late for school." His mother nodded and smiled brightly. "Have a good day sweetie."

"I will, see ya later." He headed straight for the door.

He sighed as he walked, that could have been embarrassing. His mother was really supportive but if she found out that he'd seen Jisung naked she skin the squirrel looking boy alive.

"It's better to avoid situations like that." He laughed to himself.

Eric's pov

I walked through the empty hallways, the school felt abandoned, no one was here except for a few teachers. I was grateful mr. Park let me inside, I have a mission to complete after all. I took a deep breath before approaching the locker that belonged to none other than hwang Hyunjin.

"You can do this Eric." I sighed before gently placing the letter inside the boys locker. "One down five to go." I looked at the other letters placed neatly in my bag.

My eyes lit up with determination as I placed the letters one by one.

Yang Jeongin

Kim Seungmin

Lee Minho

Bang chan

And lastly han Jisung.

By the time I was finished placing the letters the school started to feel with students. I waited nervously for my best friend to arrive.

Please don't hate me.

So Felix kind of got himself in a situation. You see he was walking to school when he saw a frantic and panicking old lady crying out for her cat who was stuck in a tree and being the kind soul he is Felix decided to help. Getting the cat down however to longer than he expected so he unfortunately missed first period, once the older woman realized this she offered to drive Felix to school so he'd be excused by his GC.

So here he was sitting awkwardly in the car with an old woman who seemed to be a huge exo fan. Once they arrived at school and quickly explained what happened Felix was dismissed to his second period class which was gym.

"Alright lee, since you missed most of the warm-ups I need five laps." Coach kim ordered.

Felix internally groaned. "Yes sir." He took off running on the track field while the rest of his classmates either played football and soccer or sat in the bleachers, where he spotted Eric who looked really nervous. Weird.

As Felix was on his third lap he noticed an approaching figure. The boy had light brown hair that framed his faced perfectly, the first two buttons of his school shirt were undone. It was lee Minho, who had a nervous smile on his face. he also appeared to be holding something gently in his hands.

As he got closer Felix what he held in his hands, that beautiful light pink envelope with a yellow heart seal, which had been slightly tore in half was something that he recognize anywhere.

Felix panicked, because there's absolutely no way this could be happening right now, he had to be dreaming this had to be a dream right.

Minho waved at him shyly moving to get closer but Felix felt his body go heavy as he fell to the ground fainting.

Felix woke up in the infirmary a nervous Eric next to his side. "Er?" He looked up at his best friend. "What happened?"

"You fainted bro."

"Fainted?" Felix repeated confused until he remembered what happened before he passed out. "Omg, omg," he held his head in shock.

"What?" Eric asked biting his nails.

"Minho, he.." Felix panicked again. "He had my letter in his hands," Felix said. "How did he even—" Felix looked at his best friend who had been surprising quiet. "You—"

"I'm sorry, I did it to help!" Eric shouted. Felix stared in disbelief.

"How many?" Felix whispered lowly.

"What?" 

"I said how many!"

"A-all of them." Eric said softly looking down at his feet.

"Get out." Felix choked.

"Felix I—"

"I said get out!" Eric nodded sadly before leaving the room.

Felix curled himself into a ball and began to cry. How can this be happening.

As soon as the nurse returned to check on Felix he immediately requested to be sent home. He couldn't face anyone right now especially six boys who probably hated him by now.

The nurse called his mother who came and picked him up. "Is everything ok sweetie?" She rubbed his head softly looking into his eyes.

"I just want to go home." He whimpered, hugging her tightly.

"Okay let's go." He walked down the halls with his head down, it was lunch period and he didn't want to risk making eye contact with anyone.

As he walked eight pair of worried eyes followed him until he was out of view. He decided running away from his problems was the best he could do for now.

This was the worse day of my life, thanks alot Eric.
