Dipper's POV:

After that trip to the very top of the Fearamid, I decided to get another book from the library. This time, the book was about demons. I know what your thinking, 'you can find something to destroy Bill with and escape!' While that is technically true, I could find that information, I can't act on it because of my end of our deal. To be honest, if Bill didn't start Weirdmageddon then I wouldn't look twice at something that could destroy him. (Even now that's questionable) I just really want to know more about demons, their behavior and personality traits, what even is a demon, their reproducing method. I want to study demons like a regular monster, to learn and accommodate. I don't want to treat them as evil before I even know what most are like, Bill has given plenty to say their evil but also to give me doubt. I guess I just want to end my internal conflict.

After finally reaching the library, I walk in through the huge doors. Ah, I could stay in here forever. Sometime I wish I wasn't human, just so I wouldn't have to do certain things to survive, so I could read my whole life. I could just read and read and read, books would be my only acquaintances and friends. Heck I would marry a book, even now I have seriously considered marrying a book because an actual relationship is hard and no people have interested me. Anyways..... I was walking down the rows of genres because I have no idea where a book on demons would be categorized. I was about 15 rows deep when I found a good section containing information on the supernatural. I searched until I found the book about demons. It didn't have a cover picture, only a black cover with a silver title. With my goal complete, I turned around and headed back out of the library towards my room.

Ugh, my feet hurt. All that walking does a number on my feet, I can't wait until I learn a teleportation spell. I took off my shoes and placed them by the door, and after I walked towards my reading nook (as I call it). I sat in my favorite chair and opened the book on demons. "A demon is a species just like you and I, they have many forms and categories. This book contains all you need to know about demons, their types, and behavioral patterns." it started. I skipped ahead to behavior, "A demon, contrary to belief, is typical a mellow being. They are usually neutral about anything unless provoked or angered. Certain types of demons can be more aggressive than others, but they are few and far between. (For demon types go to page 375.)" See, this is why I wanted a book about demons. "Demons do not have eating as a necessity, but some eat for fun or a power boost. A demon's main choice of food is a soul, different souls give a larger or smaller boost and demons can usually identify how much of a boost a certain soul would give. A soul's age will also affect its' boost, older souls have more of a boost then younger souls." Oh my.

I continued to read, I want to know all about demons. "Demons have been known to be one of the more gory species, however that is not their fault. It is simply a demon's nature to be passive aggressive and see violence not as a bad thing, but as some harmless fun (can range from play wrestling to mild torture). Depending on the type of demon their violence levels differ, some are as violent as an average human and others like to see massive blood shed. (Types of demons on page 375.) I already knew what type of demon Bill is, all I need to know is his behavior. Turning the page until I saw it discussing Dream demons, I started to read.

"A dream demon is one of the neutral types, though there have been many recordings of them being nicer than most other demons. They regulate the dreams of all other species, including other demons. While they can sleep, though most chose not to, they do not have dreams of their own. They can, however, enter the dreams of another if they would like to experience some form of dreaming. While demons have no set form, dream demons usually take the form of the human species for a few reasons. One reason is that humans dream more than any other species and sometimes dream demons need to manually go inside dreams to alter them, they use this form to be discreet while in human dreams. Another reason is reproduction. Like all species demons need have some way to make more of their kind, to do this they must pair up with two of the same form (though it is not unheard of to mix forms) and humans have been know to have one of the more pleasurable ways to reproduce. A final reason is that because human dream the most demons spend most of their life with humans, to spare themselves of a lonely existence they take a human form and make relations with humans."
