Dipper's POV:
This past week nothing exciting has happened. Well I mean, unless you count almost being eaten by Bill's henchmaniacs, learning Latin for magic spells, and getting to watch total chaos and destruction not exciting. Those things aren't for everyone I guess, not even me. Let me explain, I was just walking freely around the Fearamid to keep myself in shape when I started to round a corner. Then I saw the henchmaniacs around that corner, and unfortunately they saw me too. They started to chase me and my monster hunting instincts kicked in, so I ran. I was running for a long time before I got an idea, Bill and me were on meh terms (for a demon trying to destroy my world) so I could ask him for help.
The thing is, Bill may be able to see everything but that doesn't mean he pays attention. I can't shout 'Bill!' and expect him to be there, I already tried that. I though about anything I learned from Beginner's Introduction To Magic and tried to use a summons spell. It said that Beginners should only summon small objects, but I was running for my life so I took my chances. I said the summons spell and Bill and felt that familiar breeze, but stronger this time. Suddenly I hear no more footsteps and decided to turn around. There I saw Bill staring at the henchmaniacs and me, and I thanked God that I made it out alive. "Why did you summon me Pinetree?" Bill asked, a little irritated. I caught my breath enough to speak and said, "They were chasing me, trying to kill me. I didn't know what else to do." Bill then turned to his henchmaniacs, "And why were you chasing Pinetree?" he asked. They all looked at one another until one said, "We saw him alone and we were hungry. We didn't think a human was staying here with us that couldn't be eaten." I didn't expect them to know, but I would appreciate not being chased or eaten. "We made a deal." was all Bill said to explain why I was here. They seemed to know not to ask about deals, because they back off.
It was quiet for a moment and it was kinda awkward, well for me but I don't think demons get awkward. I would need to get a book about demons to see what they are like in general, but I have until I die so I won't worry to much about it. I broke the one way tension and said, "Thanks Bill..." He turned to me and said, "No problem kid, don't want my errand boy to get hurt aye." I smiled and a chuckle was at the back of my throat, I don't know why I did that but there was something about the way he said it. I can't believe I smiled and chuckled at Bill, never thought I'd see the day a human would willingly do that, let alone that I was the one who did it. I guess they were right, you learn new things everyday. "Speaking of learning Pinetree, I see you learned a summons spell. Not only that, but you said it perfectly and summoned quiet a large object." he praised me. I smiled nicely at him, he would smirk but I'm not cocky like him, and said, "Yes, I found a book in the library and thought it was a fictional book. Besides science I like to read fictional stories. I thought it would be funny like Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Turns out these spells are for real after I tried the first one and summoned a watch." I told him, showing off the watch I summoned.
"Do you plan on learning more?" Bill asked me. I nodded, "Yes, but first I'm teaching myself Latin so I can better understand and say the spells." I replied. Bill hummed in thought, "Don't blow yourself up kid." was all he said. He seemed to think for a bit more then said, "Since you interrupted my work, I'm taking you on a field trip." I was confused at why he said that before he snapped his fingers and suddenly we were at the tip of the Fearamid, or the Penthouse Suite, as Bill calls it. It looks like Ford said but the couch made of human flesh is gone and instead the furniture is made of regular materials, oh and one wall was made of glass. Bill put his stringy hand on my back and pushed me towards the glass wall. Once I could see down below us I froze, all I could see was Gravity Falls being destroyed by Bill's friends. From this height I could see the Shack and was glad to see it was untouched, Bill had honored his end of the deal like I knew he would. Bill has never lied, he has tricked but never lied, so I never doubted his word but I did expect him to find a loophole or trick me in some way. The sight was horrible, I nearly gagged, but I focused on the Shack and it's inhabitants and I smiled. They were safe and that's all I care about, screw anything else my family comes first.
