Dipper's POV:
Just as I was about to turn off the lamp I felt a puff of air behind me, and because I was practicing, I knew someone had used magic in my room. I turned around and saw Bill floating above my bed on one side. I walked over to the bed and sat opposite to him, waiting for him to speak first. "I just came to check up on you, make sure your not dead." he told me. I cracked a smile, "Of course, no other reason." I said. Bill simply rolled his eye at me, "Of course there's another reason!" he exclaimed. I let out a laugh, "Okay then, what's the reason?" I asked genuinely curious. "Felt your thoughts going crazy with questions yesterday, so I came to see what I could do to keep those thoughts from bugging me all day." he answered. "Oh, I did have a lot of questions yesterday. Mostly because of the book I was reading." I said.
"Of course it was a book..." he sighed. "No dofus, it was a book on demons." I scolded. "And you think that makes it better because....? It's probably a book about praising the lord and how he keeps you safe from the evil demons of Hell. It's probably so biased that nobody can get a word in, even in the margins!" Bill mildly raged at the book. I laughed at his small outburst, "No dummy, it was a scientific book. It was probably made by someone who carefully studied your species with an unbiased mind." I reassured him. He looked at me skeptically, ".... Fine, what's your questions?" he caved.
Yes! "Okay, I only have two questions!" I said excitedly. Bill groaned, "Fire away, not literally." he said. I smiled at his remark, he knew I was studying fireballs, good to know. "So, the book said that dream demons are the more neutral kind, if not the nicer kind. I would find this hard to believe two weeks ago, but now I can see it. That was more of a statement, but I wanted to know if this was true." I told him. He seemed surprised by this but answered anyways, "It's true, we are more neutral because of all the dreams we see. We see horrifying images that could drive any creature insane if they weren't a demon." he said. I nodded, the book did say demons were the gory species. "But, we have also seen the most beautiful images in all the universes. Anything you can think of, I've already seen it imagined. Both of those mixed together create a balanced and unbiased opinion on everything." he continued. Makes sense.
"Okay first actual question: Do you have a human form? The book said you might have one for many different reasons, such as humans have the most dreams so you need a human form to fit in when you have to manually go in." I said. His eye widened by a millimeter, "Yes, I do have a human form. Do you want to see it, though I think it's quiet unappealing." he offered. My turn to widened my eyes, I quickly nodded yes. Bill sighed, I guess he really didn't like his human form.
I waited anxiously, I was extremely curious to see what Bill looked like besides a triangle. He floated over next to the side of the bed I was on. He hesitated a bit before he snapped his fingers and the next thing I know, there is a handsome blonde boy standing in front of me. He had a black eye patch over his right eye, and he wore a yellow vest over a black button up and black dress pants. He wore a flowing black coat-robe thing that had stars on the inside, it reminded me of my ceiling. It was obviously Bill because he had his one eye, top hat, bowtie, and cane, not to mention he transformed right in front of me. I studied him carefully, "I know, it's terrible." Bill groaned. I looked up at him in surprise, "Bill I don't know what standards you have, but here on Earth people would kill to look like this. Not literally." I said. Bill slightly smiled, "Haha, thanks Pinetree." he said.
"It's way easier to read your emotions now, it was so hard to know without you having a mouth." I commented. "Kinda the point." he said back. His voice was different, less echoey and digital like. "Okay Mr.Sassypants!" I joked. "HEY!" he yelled at me. I laughed, "Okay, last question. It may be personal, so feel free not to answer." I said sincerely. I stared at him hard, wanting him to see I was very serious about this last one. He returned the gaze with a hard nod, I took a deep breath. "The book said that dream demons are usually very neutral or peaceful and do not attack unless angered or provoked. So why did you attack us? There are exceptions of course, but the odds of that are low..." I trailed off. His gaze froze, his face blank. He looked at me with all the seriousness of Weirdmageddon, "You humans can be despicable. You have done unspeakable things and it doesn't fair well with me. I have taken justice into my hands, to serve the punishments of your wrongdoings. I don't really care about your species anymore, but I can also make exceptions. You seem nice enough Dipper, I'll say a little about why I'm doing this." he told me.
