I'd like to dedicate this chapter to @CustardBurst. You were one of my first friends at my new school and one of my first readers that I knew IRL. Thank you soo much for your support and complaints for not updating enough. Science is super fun with you (too bad you ended up sitting diagonal of Rishi and Rayyan) and you're a super great flutist. Hope you're having fun in quarantine! (Also... if you get the Zooniverse Project, contact me ASAP).

Anyways, enjoy the chapter!

Luv u all,

Night Market is one of the best things that will ever happen to you.

Seriously.

From the moment I walked into the Dome last year, I knew that Night Market would be one of the best nights of my whole entire life.

Basically, what happens is that you're supposed to go around, playing games at different stations, and getting tickets. With those tickets, you can "buy" things at the table near the front.

We line up outside in attendance order and wait for the PDs to arrive.

"You guys will love this," I tell my Maria and Brie (Ezme's finishing her bath. She didn't get there early enough). "I had soooo much fun last year and I'm sure that I will have more fun this year."

Brie snorts. "You think you have fun in EVERYTHING."

"Excuse me, Gabrielle Alex Luhwen Lui," Brie flinches as I use her full name, which she hates because people always pronounce it wrong. It's not "Alex". It's more like "Uh-lex". And the Luhwen part is her Chinese name, which every obviously pronounces wrong unless they speak Mandarin. Even I don't say it right, which always annoys her. "Name a time when I was wrong about having fun."

Brie opens her mouth to reply, but then Edmund walks up to her and says, "Hey Brie. Can we talk?"

The two of us try not to smile as Brie tries to answer. "I-um-ye, wait WHAT?"

"Can I talk to you?" Edmund asks again, clearly not bothered by her reaction.

"Um. Sure," She replies. We give her raised eyebrows as Edmund leads her away from prying ears.

"That," Ria says, "was interesting."

"What was interesting?" asks an awfully familiar voice from behind me, making me jump about a thousand feet in the air.

I whirl around. "Charlie! You scared the heck out of me!"

He smiles that half-grin half-smirk. "Sorry, Zen. Totally didn't mean to do that."

I glare at him.

"Anyways," he continues, "did you decide yet?"

I sigh dramatically. "Charlie, I told you, Thursday morning! It's Tuesday night right now. Or have you forgotten your days of the week?"

"It feels like it's been ages."

"Yeah, well you'd better watch that attitude," I casually say, pretending to check out my nails. Looking up, I add, "Cause, you know, I could always say no."

Charlie rolls his eyes. "Yeah. You would TOTALLY say no to the wonderful Charlie Campbell."

"Yeah. Actually, I was considering saying ye-"

Maria clears her throat loudly. "Care to maybe include me in your conversation or fill me in with the details?"

Both of us blush and look at the ground. Charlie makes a random excuse about needing to find Justin for a pen and makes the wise decision of leaving.
