Hey readers!

I just realized that I need a name for the camp. If you guys have any ideas for what I could name the camp, comment down below! For now, I'm just going to call it "camp".

For those of you who are confused, here are the nicknames of my Characters that I keep using. If you have anymore questions, please let me know in the comments!

Ezmeralda: Ezme
Gabrielle: Brie
Maria: Ria

Happy reading! Don't forget to give this story a vote if you like it!

I can't help but stare at the small note in my hand, folded into quarters. His loopy handwriting is scrawled across the front in with the words "Zennzy, top-secret".

The next thing I know, I'm shoving the note back into my bag. Hoping down on the hard floor with my deck of cards in my hand, I pretend that nothing happened.

"I'm on Zen's team!" Ria yells.

"Nu-uh!" Brie shouts back. "I am!"

I sigh. Not again. They always fight over who gets to be on my team, since I was the one who first introduced it to them. I could play by myself against a team of two people and still win. So there is always kind of a problem.

Eventually, they figure it out, and Ezme ends up with me.

We play a few rounds until Jamie comes back and tells us to go to sleep while she goes to the counselor's meeting.

We hop into our beds and turn off the lights, but I can't sleep. Finally, I pluck my flashlight out to read Charlie's note.

"Hey Zen," it reads, "I really need to ask you something. Tomorrow, during the free time after lunch, come to the common room. Please. I really need to ask you something. -Charlie."

I stare at the note. He wants to talk to me? About what?

For a long time, I toss and turn. When Jamie comes back at around 12 o'clock AM, I know I need to sleep. Eventually, I fall asleep to the sound of my friends' breathing, hoping that nothing bad will happen tomorrow.

Yawning, I sit up in my bunk and check the time. 7:12. Our alarm goes off in three minutes, and the rest of my roommates are still asleep. So for three minutes, all I do is stare at the ceiling, and all of yesterday's events come rushing back to me.

Before I know it, the chimes on Brie's phone goes off, and everyone else is awake.

We bustle around, getting ready. Brushing our teeth, changing, applying sunscreen and bug spray, doing our hair, checking our phones for texts from our friends that are not at camp, etc.

At 7:50, we go to the dining hall and wait for them to open the doors so we can eat breakfast. (The rule is that your entire group has to be eating/finished eating by 8:30).

We girls grab plates from the table by the door. When we walk in, they have some food set up and ask us what we want. I get some scrambled eggs, some bacon, berries, and yogurt. Oh, and you most definitely can't forget the bread and jam, which is home-made.

The four of us follow Jamie to our table, which we will be using for all meals. We chat while we eat, and all of my worries melt away. Well, until I see him, of course.

No surprise, the boys come at the last minute possible, Mike dashing in three seconds later.

We girls sigh in unison.

I finish eating and ask for permission to leave the table, avoiding Charlie's eyes.

My friends exchange looks. They know something's up. I haven't spoken more than ten words since we woke up.

I've got a few minutes until we have to go to the Chapel for Lettering. My friends will corner me, and I need some time to calm my nerves about this. . . situation.

I wander around for a while before finding a path perpendicular to the girls' wing at the edge of the building. I follow it and it leads to a small playground that looks like no one has touched for quite a while. I poke my head around to make sure that no one is there.

Phew.

I sit down on one of the swings and tell myself to chill. I mean, it's not a big deal. It's just a note.

Deep breath in, deep breath out. Relax. I tell myself, over and over.

Then, it's time to go Lettering.

I arrive at the Chapel a few minutes early. The Chapel is a long rectangular building with a triangular ceiling. There are group flags lined up on the walls. Some people are already checking their mail. I haven't had the time to write any yet, which I should probably do today.

Underneath our flag, there are ten envelopes, tucked nicely into pockets on the wall.

I already have a few letters, so I grab them out of the envelope and go to the table that has a "J" on it.

I get to work, ripping paper out of my notebook, answering all of the letters that I got, mostly from my friends from last year and some counselors I met.

Minutes later, while I'm replying to my fifth "letter", my group mates join me.

"Hey guys," I cheer brightly. "Go check and see if you got any letters. I got a lot."

My three friends exchange another glance. I pretend I don't notice.

They go and grab their letters, which is not a lot. We get to work, answering the "Mail" we receive.

To send them out, we're supposed to go over to this big cardboard box, which has slits cut into it, and above every slit is the group letter. You're supposed to write the receiver's name on the letter so the counselors know who it's going to (when they send it at night during their debriefing, obviously).

After we finish Lettering, we go to Daily Workout, which is just a bunch of exercise, combined stretches.

They remind us to sign up for a Performing Arts Clinic, which happens today, in the afternoon. I already know that I want to sign up for Juggling; Erica's leading it, so I know that It will be very fun. We could ramble on and on about The Fault In Our Stars. It would be so cool and amazing.

Then we do a Rotating Workshop, which there are four of. Each group does one on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Saturday, we do this activity where every group mobs together into one big crowd and we just have fun, playing games with each other and chatting.

Rotating Workshop is done with three other groups; we do it with I, K, and L.

Today, our Rotating Workshop is Rock Climbing. There's an indoor studio all the way on the other side of the facility, way over by the soccer field.

We spend an entire hour climbing the rocks and letting the harness carry us down slowly. I race with my friends, which is really funny, when you see Ezme zooming up to the top at full speed, and you're just standing at the bottom, watching her go.

Eventually, we have to dash off to lunch. It's the same procedure as breakfast, except they take attendance, so your entire team has to be there, or you go in last.

We also sign up for our clinics. I get Juggling with Sophelia, Ria, and Justin.

I laugh and talk with my group, forgetting about my meeting with Charlie after lunch.

That is until Brie asks us what we want to do for Free Time.

When the lunch hour ends, we go back to our rooms. I sneak out when none of them are looking.

Time for my meeting with Charlie.
