Hey Readers!

This chapter is dedicated to Slenn3 Even though we've literally only seen each other IRL for, like 12 days, you're one of my good friends I've made so many memories with. She went to the camp with me that inspired this story. We've shivered, talked about chickens, juggled round spherical things made for sports, drank Cupcake Sprinkles tea (or I did, you just made fun of the name), made fun of Stephanie for being asked out (AHEM), complained about that annoying sister of mine, seen Emma draw a high Mikayla, been to a terrible summer camp at TECO with Lils and Steph (remember that year?), drank too much of the grass jelly drink, and so much more. Thank you soo much for all the memories and laughter. I miss those days. (HOPE THEY DON'T CANCEL CAMP THIS YEAR OR I WILL KILL CORONA!) Update: They canceled camp. I'm so sad.

Anyways, thanks so extremely much for all the views and votes. We've surpassed 100 votes!! @Drag0nSin0fWrath gave us our 100th vote. Thanks so much!

[Note: This doesn't really relate to the story, but I was hoping that you guys wouldn't think that our blondie is a total brat. @Slenn3 requested a chapter in Amelia's perspective. . . so here it is! It picks up from right after the previous chapter]

Luv u all,

AMELIA JOHNSON'S POV

My mouth falls open when I hear that voice. "Sophelia?" I ask while turning around.

My old friend smiles grimly and replies, "That's me. Long time, no see."

"I-What are you doing here?" I ask, puzzled.

Sophelia's gaze doesn't waver from mine. "I could ask you the same question."

"Um, sorry to break this up, but how exactly do you guys know each other?" Zennzy asks. I forgot she's right behind us.

Sophelia answers. "Elementary school friends. Well, before I moved to a private school in fifth grade." She turns to me. "We have some talking to do." Then she glances at Zennzy. Then at me. "And you didn't take back what you said yet."

I let out a long sigh. "Fine. I take back what I said. Now let's talk."

Before the two of them can say anything, I drag Sophelia with me to the place behind our rooms, where I was a few minutes ago.

For a few seconds, there's an awkward silence. "You won't tell anyone, will you?" I finally say. "If people figure it out. . ." my voice wavers off.

Sophelia speaks gently. "Why are you trying to be someone you aren't, Amelia?"

I look at her. "How many people do you know, who are like me? I live in fear of people figuring out! Rumors will spread, I'll be mortified. I mean, no one wants to be friends with someone who's a freak."

"You're not a freak," she says. "Don't call yourself that."

"I mean, look, Zennzy hates me, her friends hate me, her brother hates me, Charlie hates me, practically everyone at school hates me, my life can't get worse right? Sarcasm intended."

"Amelia!" Soph scolds. "They don't know you the same way I do. Just. . . stop trying to be someone you aren't." She pauses. "I think the reason you're so keen on finding a date to the dance is because then people won't suspect. Am I right?"

I stare at the ground. "Yeah. Enough of this talk. How are you?"

"Well, Tiger Canyon is kind of hard. They expect so much from us! And Zaeden got into Stanford, so I'm moving down to the Bay Area this summer."

"WHAT!?" I explode. "You're moving? Again?"

She smiles at me. "There's the Amelia I know. Yeah. There's this school called Starks Academy, and I had to take an entrance exam. But it has really good online reviews, and the school looks pretty nice. Oh! I need to get your phone number."

I whip out a pen and scribble my number and email address on her hand. "Text me once you get down to your new home, okay?"

She nods. "Zaeden finally got Mom and Dad to get me a phone. I'm like, so happy."

I can't help but grin. "So. . . is Sole still a thing?"

Soph grits her teeth and glares at me. "ARGH! AMELIA! COLE'S JUST A FRIEND! AND WHAT TYPE OF SHIP NAME IS SOLE?"

I let out a laugh. "Sole = Sophelia + Cole. Everyone ships it. I'm not the only one."

"He's out of bounds," she insists. "My brother's best friend's brother. Zaeden will freak if I'm dating Cole. And I don't even want to."

"Well, you admit in fourth grade, that you thought he was cute."

"I SAID THAT HE WAS CUTE BUT NOT MY TYPE! UGHHH!"

I can't help but laugh really hard. Soph glares at me, which makes me laugh even harder. "Fine. . . but I still ship it."

"I don't like him that way," she insists again. "Besides, everyone knows that he liked Jonelle."

I wiggle my eyebrows and smirk. "Yeah, liked. Past tense. He's probably already moved on from her. to. . . you know, a certain someone."

"UGHHHHHH," my friend groans. "AMELIA!"

"Okay, okay fine." I hold my hands up in surrender. "I give up."

"You'd better," Sophelia mutters under her breath, still seething. "We have to go to Night Clinic. What did you get?"

"I got Karaoke. I had no choice. All the other spots were taken."

Now it's her turn to laugh. "I can totally imagine you singing and swishing your hips back and forth."

I glare at her. "What did you get?" I ask.

"Night photography," she simply replies.

I groan. "THAT WAS MY FIRST CHOICE!"

We chat as we make our way to the amphitheater. When we get there, we have to go sit in our groups. "Talk soon," I tell her as she walks over to the group H section.

She nods. "Very soon."

Can anyone guess Amelia's secret? Comment down below!

The background of this is that Zennzy and Sophelia went to the same pre-school, but Sophelia and Amelia ended up going to the same elementary school. They became best friends, but Sophelia moved to a private school for fifth and sixth grade. The two of them lost contact until now. In my next story, which is currently named "This Is Where My New Life Begins" (the name may change) and stars Sophelia, you can learn a lot more. However, that won't be coming out until I'm done with this book.

Chapter 12 will be in Kevin's perspective, upon request from a fellow reader. I'm terrible at writing from men's perspective, so expect a lot of cringyness involved.

Also... AS OF 4/11/20 THIS BOOK IS NUMBER ONE IN RELISTICFICTION!!! LETS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Vote up, comment, and share if you want more of the story! Your support makes me really happy!

Remember, the star's down there!
