~Sunday Afternoon~

"All right!" Amber declares. "Thank you, campers and parents, for attending this year's closing ceremony. To our graduating seniors, we hope to see you back as counselors next year! Everyone else, we hope to see you soon! That concludes this year's camp! Have a great school year and we'll see you next year!"

I hop off my chair and hug my friends goodbye. "I'll see you guys very, very soon. We could go to the movies like on Wednesday or something," I suggest.

"Yeah. I heard that a movie starring Zac Efron is in theaters now!" Brie remarks. "We should go watch it."

"And the only reason you want to watch it is because it stars Zac Efron right?" Ezme fires back. Brie looks annoyed and mumbles something that sounds like "so what if it is?"

"In any case," Ria interrupts, glaring at the two of them, "we should meet up very soon. And I think my sister's here, so I need to go. She walks over to the pile of luggage and grabs hers. She waves at us and mouths "text me the time and location when you decide on it." Then marches out the door.

I look at the two of them and ask, "Let's go find Kevin and our parents." We push through the crowd (I wave at Sophelia and tell her to text me when she finishes moving into her new home), finally spotting our parents chatting with one another.

"Mom! Dad!" I yell over the chatter.

"They can't hear you from all the way over here, Zennzy Secile Sanderson," Charlie murmurs from behind me. Ezme and Brie shoot each other knowing looks and slither away without another word.

I turn around and raise an eyebrow. "Is that so?"

"Yeah. Also, I need to talk to you."

"What is with you and your talks?" I ask. "I mean, is all you do talk?"

He glares at me, electric blue eyes piercing into mine. "Look, I'm going to be gone for most of the summer, actually. I'm going up to Scotland to visit my grandparents, and I'll be back like, a few days before school starts. So I guess you won't be seeing me for the summer," he shrugs sadly.

"But you'll be back before school starts, right? So you'll be there on the first day of school, RIGHT?" I ask glaring back with that you'd-better-be-or-I-will-kill-you look.

"UH hello? I said I'll be back like a few days before school starts! So DUH!" he grumbles back.

"Okay, okay, chill!" I glance away, suddenly feeling bashful. "I guess I'll see you then, and NO IGNORING MY TEXTS!!"

His face lights up with a smile. "Okay. I really have to go now, so tell Kevin I said bye okay?"

I nod and he gently pulls me into a hug. "See you soon Zennzy," he whispers in my ear.

I hug him back very tightly. "Mmhm. Very soon."

I wave at him as he walks out the door to his parent's car, waiting to take him back home so he can pack and go visit his family.

Three years ago, if you told me that I'd have my first kiss and first dance with someone I really like, who feels exactly the same way I feel about them, I'd call you crazy and tell you to go get your brain checked to make sure it hasn't melted or anything. But right now, I just cannot believe how lucky I am to be with someone who's not just freaking adorable, but also caring, gentle, kind, funny, and just plain insanely awesome.

Shaking out of my thoughts, I make my way to my parents, who have already been joined by Kevin. Brie and Ezme have both left with their parents. "What took you so long?" my brother asks.

I ignore him and hug Mom and Dad. "Are we ready to go?" I ask.

"You two don't want to say goodbye to your friends?" Mom says disbelievingly.

ARGH. "I already did. Besides, I'll be seeing them next week." I sigh. This always happens with my parents, more specifically, my mother. She can be extremely strict at times, but she absolutely loves it when I make new friends and hang out with other people more often, it gets so annoying.

"And you, Kevin?" Mom anxiously asks. "You said bye to your friends and asked them to talk later?"

"YES, MOM. NOW CAN WE PLEASE GET HOME. I'M REALLY EXHAUSTED. THE BEDS WERE SLIGHTLY UNCOMFY." His face twists to match mine.

"Okay, let's get going then," Dad says before Mom can say anything else. "Let's go get your guys's luggage." He tugs Mom by the hand. "Come on, Regina. You can help me." A mischievous smile spreads over Dad's face. "Help" for Dad normally means "so I can prank you when you aren't looking" but he never does that to Mom. Well, there's always a first time.

"So sis, Charlie told you, huh?" Kevin and I tail after our parents, Mom saying that she saw that look on Dad's face and playfully threatens to spill water over his head if he makes her do all the work.

"That he's going to Scotland for the rest of the summer? Yeah. He told me." I reply, now trying not to listen to Dad pouting and whining that water from her water bottle would ruin his fancy hair and that she should at least find some better water to spill on his hair.

Kevin seems to be doing the same since he covers his ears with his hands. "So you aren't disappointed? At all? That you won't get to spend time together?"

I shrug. "I mean, when he gets back, we have all the time in the world. Well I mean we're going to the same school anyways. And you're too nosy for me to tell you anything," I sniffle, plastering a look of disgust on my face.

"Heeeey! I'm your brother! TWIN brother!" he protests. "We share the same last name, same bathroom (Although I wish I didn't. You're too organized. I can never find my shampoo), same parents, same spot on the family tree, same relatives, same face (but I look better obviously), AND same Harry Potter Books (but they're supposed to be mine. You never read them)."

I glare at him. "Doesn't mean we have to share the same secrets. Also, you might wanna call Qirleya as soon as possible. She has to tell you something."

Kevin abruptly stops walking. "WHAT? Tell me WHAT?"

"Dunno. She wouldn't tell me. But it seemed serious because there were no emojis or abbreviations in the text message I got on the bus." I tell him to hurry up so we don't have to keep our parents waiting. And if we don't, Dad might have to drive home drenched in water.

It turns out that Mom successfully succeeded in making Dad actually help her carry our luggage, which also means that he will not be driving home drenched in water.

"Well I guess this concludes another year of camp," Kevin sadly remarks as we put our luggage into the trunk and step into the car.

"Yeah. I think that next year will be even more interesting though."

My brother raises an eyebrow. "Why's that?"

"Cause you know, if I can get you to be in my group with Qirleya and everyone else, it will be the time of my life!" I innocently reply.

Totally am not thinking about how Charlie and I would (hopefully) still be together and that we'd get to go to hang out with each other all week long.
