Lexie, the kids and I started walking the path to the house.
"Daddy, what kind of tree is that?!" Jocelyn yelled.
I laugh a little.

"Even you're sad to be stuck in the boonies of Beverly Hills." She says.

"I could smell my moms cooking from the airport.."

"You don't have to eat it." I say.

My mom and Dad walk out the door, and my mom holds her arms out to me.

I saw you at the parade, and I can't wait it's re you at school again, love you >3" YALL! I WANNA KNOW WHAT SHOWS THIS KID BE WATCHING)
My mom ran up to me and hugged me tightly.
"Oh I missed you mama.."
"You see why I call him mamas boy?" Lexie whispers to Jessica.
They both scoff.
"It has been such a long time since we've seen you.." my mom says.
"And Lexie!"
"You and the kids are getting so big.." she says, giving Lexie a quick hug.
"Wait-"
"Luna..come here sweet girl." My dad said.
Luna came up to him, and he picked him up.
"Your getting big.."

"Dad?" I say.

"Okay.." I say, looking sad.
"Come over here and give your father a hug."

I give my dad a quick hug, and he gives Lexie, and the kids one too.
Jessica sighs heavily, and sits on one of the chairs on the porch.
"What's wrong with Princess Pouty?" Mom asks.
Lexie groans.
"She's just upset because her friends are at a party, but we insisted she'd come."
"Are you guys going to the family reunion?"
"FAMILY REUNION?!" I yelled.
Jessica groans..
"It's not just a party!" She yelled.
"It's the biggest social event of the year.."
"Your not happy to see your grandpa?"
"I'm always happy to see you.."
"But know that I know we're having a family reunion, why couldn't it just be in LA."
"Maybe because we're the only family that lives there.." I say.
"Yeah.." Lexie says.
"You want all of your family members to travel..to us just so you could go to a party?" She asked.
"Omg that would be so dope!" Jessica yelled.
"Let me check flights.."
"Oh..your WiFi is kinda bad out here." She says, standing up and moving around.
"What's your password?" She asked.
"Oh, we don't have WiFi." My dad says.
I snickered.

We all walk inside, and get our stuff situated.
My mom cooked FOoOd so we all gathered around at the table.
"Mm mom, you put your foot in this chicken."

"Amy, is the best cook in the family."

The front door swings open.
"HEY EVERYBODY!"

"AUNT SOPHIE!!" The kids yelled, and they started running up to her.
"WHATS UP RUGRATSS!" She yelled.
She took a glance at the food.
"Alright get off me now go go." She says.
I cover my face with my hands.
"Hey Jaden, Lexie, no time to talk but we'll talk later." She says, taking out a container she had.
She opened the lid..
"Uh listen, get this, I got..a guy friend..coming over this evening." She says, and starts grabbing the food.
I sigh.
"And out of all things! I said- hey daddy how you doin.." she says, and keeps grabbing more and more.
"I told him right, that I..would be the one cooking for us this evening.." she says.
"Out of all things! I said 'me? I ain't the person supposed to be cooking'!"
"And I said you know what I might go ahead, and do that. You know?" She said.
She sighs..
"It is just so great seeing all of y'all.."
"I swear mama you never lied when you said ain't nothing like a Sunday dinner with family am I right?" She says, taking my plate of food, and walking to the door.
"Y'all god bless.." she said, leaving and closing the door behind us.
We all just sat there..
