Chapter 1

💝ᴛᴡᴏ ɴᴇᴡ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛs💝

A couple hours in and nothing had changed from the other days. The same people would come in and order the same thing as always. Couples were present the most because the peacefulness in the cafe was good for a first date or for something nice and sweet to treat your loved one to.

Namjoon and Jimin's shift had just begun while Taehyung's continued. He made his way over to the register as Jimin went to the ordering counter. It was pretty boring most of the time since not many customers would walk in, even on rush hour.

It was the same as every other day. A sweet greeting to any customer that would walk in and make their order quickly only for them to have to wait for around 10 minutes — at most — until it was ready. It was a repetitive experience, and it started to get dull after a long period of time.

But then, some people walked in who got Namjoon's dull eyes to lighten up again.

Not many new customers would visit the cafe, so seeing two new people walk in was a small shock. One was glaring at everything he saw with his cat eyes. The only thing he didn't glare at was the boy next to him, who was looking down at the floor close behind him.

The two had also caught Jimin's eye and he smiled at the newcomers. They walked over to the counter and Namjoon noticed the cat eyed male stare at him for a few seconds before a deep, raspy voice said,

"I would like a 12 ounce coffee with cream and he would like a 12 ounce hot chocolate with whipped cream and a candy cane."

"You got that Taehyung?" Jimin asked. The other nodded before working on the drinks.

The two walked over to Namjoon, who felt a bit intimidated by the shorter male. He wore all black and had black eye shadow at the ends of his eyes, somehow mixing perfectly with his blonde hair.

The other boy hiding behind him wore black jeans and a red, oversized turtleneck sweater. His hair resembled the color of milk chocolate and his doe eyes added a curious feeling to him.

"The total is 9,900 won." Namjoon spoke, not having to calculate it on the register. The cat eyed male nodded before digging in his pocket for his wallet.

When the wallet was found, the boy looked through and placed the money on the counter. Namjoon counted the money and nodded when it was the right amount before putting it into the register.

"You can sit at a table, we'll give you your drinks soon." He spoke to the two boys. The shorter one nodded and made his way to the table by the window, the taller awkwardly walking behind him.

Namjoon decided to help Jimin with the order. The younger had started with the hot chocolate, so he decided to start on the coffee.

By the time the cup was put in the coffee maker, Jimin had finished making the hot chocolate and placed it on the black oval tray. He was now waiting for Namjoon to finish the coffee, which he was close to completing.

The coffee was given the exact right amount of cream and was placed on the tray. Seokjin decided to give the two customers their drinks after realizing that he had given the two clumsiest workers the same shift.

Taehyung walked over to Jimin and kissed his cheek, making him giggle a little. Namjoon rolled his eyes playfully but didn't miss the look of the shy boy's hurt expression. He looked back at Jimin and Taehyung, who were whispering and giggling to each other, then the pieces came together.
