The next day was one Namjoon wasn't expecting.
Everything seemed the same as any other Monday at first. He showed up early, tidied up the place, then waited for everyone to come in.
The first person who showed up was Seokjin, who he noticed didn't have a cold look anymore. Instead, there was a look of guilt and sorrow. Why? Namjoon didn't know, but he didn't necessarily hate it either.
"Good morning, Joon." He hesitantly bid.
"Umm... good morning to you as well, hyung." Namjoon said just as awkwardly.
"Look," Seokjin sighed and walked up to the counter. "I really need to apologize about what I did. I was being possessive, and I must've mistook it for protection. And now that I know, I don't mind meeting Yoongi and have no resentment towards either of you."
It was odd at first, and confused Namjoon. After hearing that, he was hesitant to accept, but after thinking it through he decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. He knew his best friend. He knew that if he did something wrong, he would automatically begin fixing it. He's seen it before.
"It's alright. I'm sure he wouldn't mind talking to you."
"Is there any way I could make it up to you?" Seokjin asked. "Like... Maybe I could cook you something or give you a day off?"
"Maybe try to get Taehyung off my back." Namjoon recommended jokingly.
"Ah, I can't do anything about that." Seokjin claimed with a smile.
"I know." Namjoon said, denouncing his joke. "Just having the chance to talk to you again is enough for you to give me."
Seokjin went to give him a hug, which he immediately responded to. "Thank you."
"Of course."
"Well, I wasn't expecting to see this."
The two parted and saw Taehyung standing at the door along with Hoseok. Considering it was a deep voice that said that, they assumed that Taehyung was the one who had spoken. Hoseok only gave Seokjin a smile that Namjoon didn't understand at the time.
Seokjin wrapped his arm around Namjoon. "Mmm yes. Expect to see this more often."
Neither of them said anything about that, but Taehyung did walk up to Namjoon and ask, "Does that mean that you guys are friends again?"
"We've always been friends." He claimed. Seokjin nodded beside him. "The ghosting is over now, if that's what you mean."
"So...does that mean Yoongi-ssi isn't bad?"
Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows. "Yes?"
"Oh, ok."
Taehyung didn't bother explaining what that meant and went into the back. Namjoon chose to ignore it, assuming it was nothing very important now.
Jimin was just as surprised as the others when he got there. Instead of saying anything about it, he went to give Seokjin a hug and everyone else a high five. Everyone, especially Seokjin, were happy that things were turning back to normal again.
Then, Yoongi walked in.
The first thing he noticed was that Namjoon seemed a lot happier than before, which warmed his heart immensely. Then he saw Seokjin right next to him and got suspicious.
He went up to the counter to take his order. Just before he did, he and Seokjin made eye contact. Seokjin was the first one to look away.
Namjoon didn't even have to ask since Yoongi immediately tossed him the money for his coffee. That's when he could tell that Yoongi wasn't exactly thrilled about Seokjin being there.
