"Get off me, you old creep!" I yelled.

"Not likely, Demoness." The hunter responded "I need you so I can get to your vampire boyfriend."

"My what? You're actually insane!" I yell before he pulls the bag off of my head and puts a strip of duct tape over my mouth.

"Now," he says, "we go."

He dragged me up to the tent where they were playing Creature From the Black Lagoon, but it sounded more like Davis. I could only make out the last part of what he was saying.

"I mean you guys hated me like two minutes ago." I heard Davis say, "and I don't blame you. Because I pretended to be something I wasn't so that you would like me, and I'm so sorry. But take a look at yourselves for a second. Is it any different for you? I mean, Caitlyn Crisp is no more Miss Perfect than I am a-"

"Blooksucker!" The crazed hunter yelled, deciding to make his presence known.

"Who are you?" Davis asked.

"I am your arch nemesis." The hunter announced.

"Okay..." Davis replied, unsure of what else to say.

"I'm Baron Von Awesome, a vampire hunter." Wow, and people say I have no life. What kind of name was that?

"I think it's been pretty well established that I'm not an actual vampire. I was getting way meaningful down here."

The Baron laughed. "It is not wise to ignore me, creature. Especially when..." He then pulled me out from behind the curtain he hid me at. "I have your bloodsucking girlfriend!" A wood stake then appeared from his sleeve.

"Sarah!" Davis calls before the Baron brought me up onto the roof of the haunted house.

"Come, demon, face your fate!" He calls.

"What are you talking about?" Davis asks, "There's no way I could get up there."

"Use your dragon wings." Baron replied. Okay, where does this guy get his lore?

"This whole not really being a vampire thing just isn't sticking with you, is it?" Davis asks.

"Enough of your treachery, bloodsucker! I am coming down."

Baron then painfully slid down a nearby pole before he chased Davis into another tent where they began to fight. Baron used his cane while Davis used a pole. However, it didn't last long before they marched up to each other and stood for a while. Was he pulling that staring contest thing that Vi made up? It seemed so, because the crowd started to cheer and Baron was suddenly on his knees. Davis then helped him up, followed by another cheer. Davis then ran back to the haunted house, stopping to look up at me.

"Go get her, Dracula!" One of the Jocks, I think his name was Bon, said as Davis parkoured up the side of the house and up to me.

"Why, Major Whitlock, what took you so long?" I asked teasingly in my vampire voice once Davis got the tape off my mouth.

"You're welcome." He replies.

"You wanna untie me now?" I ask.

"Well, maybe. But I'm thinking you're probably blaming me for all of this, and that you might actually hit me."

"I might." I respond, "But I might also be grateful that you saved me from a crazy hunter and give you that kiss you wanted."

"You don't need arms for that." Davis says before leaning in to kiss me. The crowd then started to cheer and we broke apart, Davis putting his arm around me. We both laughed with the crowd as I leaned my head against his shoulder. He then untied me and we made our way back down before walking around, holding hands. "So, we're like a couple now, huh?" He asks.

"I'd say that we are." I respond "Don't worry though. I won't make you do the whole vampire thing again. It's not a dealbreaker. Although, I will admit you did kinda rock it."

Davis and I both laughed at this.

"That's good to know." He says.

"Oh, also," I add, pulling out the kaleidoscope box, "thank you for the kaleidoscope."

"You're welcome." Davis says before pulling me into a hug. We stood there for a moment until an upbeat song started playing. "Okay, now let me show you how to dance." He adds.

It was a great night, and the next day at school was the first of many with my new boyfriend.
