JOE'S P.O.V.: I knocked on the door for the second time.
Maybe she's not home...or don't want to see you.
Joe: I should've never came here (I said before turning around to leave her house)
I was walking to my car when I heard the door opening, but I didn't turn around again until she spoke.
Demi: Joe? (She asked loud enough for me to hear)
Joe: yes (I said after turning around) uh, hey
Demi: hey...it's been a while... (she whispered)
Joe: four years and a half to be more exact (she nodded and I walked bacl to her door)
Demi: do you want to come in?
Joe: if you allow me to, it'd be nice (she nodded and opened the door widely for me to enter) thanks (I walked into her house and instantly looked down) your dogs, where are them?
Demi: oh ummm, in their monthly haircut (I smiled and nodded) do you want something to drink?
Joe: whatever you have in your fridge will be okay
Demi: alright, follow me then (I walked with her to the kitchen and she opened the fridge to show me what she had inside)
Joe: there's a lot of soda in there (she looked at me and gulped) but don't get me wrong, it just surprised me that you have it cause I know you never did before...it's nice to know you're enjoying youd food and drinks (she smiled slightly) I want a soda
Demi: kay, I'll have one too (she grabbed two bottles and handed me one) so...I heard you're a father now
Joe: I am (I assured her with a smile)
Demi: how's that going? (She asked as she started to move around the kitchen with her back at me fixing objects)
Joe: it's really awesome, she's a sweetheart. At first I thought it'd be more difficult but it's been pretty calm even without Sophie, Willa has learned to grow with us separately (I noticed she stopped moving and looked at me)
Demi: without Sophie?
Joe: oh that...we got divorced about 3 months ago I guess
Demi: that's a surprise. I'm sorry to hear that
Joe: thanks, it wasn't that dramatic tho. Of course we loved each other, we still do but in a different way. I mean, we have a daughter together so that means we're family now but...the love wasn't full-filling like it was at the begining of the relationship
Demi: I get it, then I hope it was for the better
Joe: it was...it made me realize a lot of things
Demi: nice
Joe: and you? Anything new I should know about?
Demi: uh no, not at all. After I almost got married two years ago I chose to stay single for a while and just wait patiently for the right person
Joe: oh yeah, I heard about your engagement and...all that stuff that happened right after it
Demi: it was a rushed decision anyways, very silly of me (I chuckled and she shrugged) you can say it, I know I was stupid for jumping into a relationship like that but...I really thought it could work, I was desperate to find my home, someone to belong to...but it wasn't him
Joe: it's a good thing that you realized it before the wedding
Demi: yeah...it wasn't like a realization, it was more like acceptance, I knew he wasn't the one ever since I met him but I jist tried to convince everyone, even myself, that he was...it clearly was a mistake
Joe: glad you didn't make it then
Demi: yeah...you said Willa is the nams of your daughter, right? (I nodded and she smiled) it's such a pretty name, shs must be beautiful Joe, congrats
Joe: wanna see her? We chose not to post pics of her until she's three years old (I said as I unlocked my phone)
Demi: it was a wise move
Joe: this is Willa, we got this pic taken a week ago during one of my photoshoots

Joe: Demi?
Demi: I'm sorry, I'm so stupid but...I can't believe she's your daughter and...I don't know, I never thought I'd see her even on a pic (I frowned and she chuckled drying her tears before sending me a smile) can I show you something? It's ridiculous
Joe: anything (she grabbed my wrist and walked me upstairs to her room) what is it?
Demi: it's a dumb thing I do sometimes (we walked to her dresser and then, she opened a hiden door to show me her secret) there is it

Joe: what does this mean?
Demi: when I...when I knew about Sophie's pregnancy I started buying cute baby stuff just in case I could neet your baby and through the years I just kept buying that kind of stuff...I lost all my hopes to meet her some day but I couldn't help but think of you whenever I saw a cute baby's whatever object and I had to keep buying
Joe: you mean this is for...Willa? (She nodded at me and now it was my turn to cover my face as tears filled my eyes)
Demi: there's a lot of stuff that won't fit her or she won't like cause she's two years, 3 months and a week old but...you should take this to yours
Joe: two years, three months and a week old...how do you know that?
Demi: I have a calendar since the day she was born in my phone, sorrt I really sound out of my mind but...it was so important to me that you had a baby, I couldn't help but do all that stuff
