NICK'S P.O.V.: I laughed at a fan shouting at me. She was crazy for me and of course, I've seen it before but it made me laugh cause you expect that at 30 years, people won't like you as much as they did when you were a teenager.
I ran a hand through my hair and posed for the last picture of the red carpet. The Grammy's and I was posing alone while my brothers were posing with their wives.
"How was it?" Joe asked me and I shrugged.
"Different than when I was with Priyanka, it felt like...in 2017" I said and he chuckled.
"Right, I get you. You look a lot better today than the last time we saw each other." I nodded.
"I know. At first I was sad of everything that happened between me and Priyanka but...it was for the best. We weren't working anymore."
"Oh my gosh." I heard Sophie whisper behind Joe and looked at her. "What a queen."
"Mh?" I said and looked in the direction she was looking. My eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing.
As the crowds of people started to shout her name, all I could do was stare at the big bright smile she was showing everyone. She wasn't making the "bad bitch" face she usually does for red carpets. She was smiling her way. And that smile...that smile was the one I fell in love with about 6 years ago. It felt like it was in another life, not just some years ago.
She was wearing a white and silver dress to the floor, her hair middle up and a gorgeous blue diamonds' necklace that were pairing with her earpieces and bracelet. Her hair was chocolate brown with slight red lights that made her look like a goddess. Beautiful. Demi was still as beautiful as ever.
I felt my heart pounding in my chest furiously and bit my lip before I felt a punch in my stomach.
"Hey!" I told Joe and he rolled his eyes.
"Stop staring at her like that! I mean, I know she looks fire tonight but come on...calm the fuck down."
"I can't." I whispered and he chuckled while shaking his head. I spent the whole time staring at her until she made eye contact with me for a moment in time. Her smile faded the slightest and I gulped hard before someone called her and she looked to the cameras again.
"Guys, they're calling us in." Kevin told us and I nodded before entering the place with my brothers and wives.
Once we were inside, I sat beside Sophie and Joe was on her other side. My mind kept replaying everything that happened since Demi came into the scene and oh lord...when her eyes were on mine. We froze. Our time froze.
"You froze." I heard my sister in law say, bringing me back to the reality.
"Oh, yea, I was just thinking...did you say something to me?" She chuckled and shook her head.
"I wasn't talking about you freezing now, I meant...when you saw her, you froze."
"I didn't." I lied and she laughed out loud.
"There's no need for you to say this shitty lies. I know what I saw. But what I wanna know is why did you freeze? I thought you were always just friends...but seems like you weren't."
