Chapter 1

So Betty and Archie are dating. Polly (Betty's older sister) was never pregnant and she never dated Jason, she goes to Riverdale high. Betty and Jughead used to be close but with time they sorta grew apart. So yeah, that's all you need to know to start reading!

Riverdale high, Monday
Betty walks over to her locker and opens it. Cheryl walks down the hallway flipping her hair. Betty starts looking for her school books in her locker. "Excuse me Betty, you're in my way." Cheryl says to Betty. "Oh..." Betty steps aside frowning. Cheryl goes to her locker, next to Betty's, opens it and starts looking for her things. Betty sighs and suddenly her phone rings. She picks it up and says.
Betty: "Hello?" 
Archie's mom: "Betty, this is Archie's mom."
Betty: "Oh hi."
Archie's mom: "I was wondering if Archie went to school today."
Betty: "Oh... I don't think so. I thought he was at home with you..."
Cheryl turns to Betty and asks "Who is it, on the phone?"
*on the phone* Archie's mom: "I think he might of snuck out last night."
Betty lowers her phone and whispers harshly to Cheryl "Mind your own business Cheryl."  Betty puts her phone back up to her ear and says
"Well I'll tell you if he shows up."
Jughead sees Betty on her phone and decides to walk over to her. "Hey Betty."
*on the phone* "Ok, thank you Betty. I'm really worried."
"I have to go, but please tell me if he shows up at your house." Cheryl tilts her head and asks Betty "Where's Archie?" Betty ignores her.
Archie's mom: "Of course. Bye."
Betty: "Stay in touch... bye."
Betty puts her phone in her pocket and turns to Cheryl who is still standing there waiting for an answer.
Betty: "Go away Cheryl." Cheryl rolls her eyes.
Cheryl: "Fine cousin, I was just trying to help." She turns back to her locker.
Jughead stands there wondering why he is always ignored and then storms away. Betty runs after Jughead.
Betty: "Wait!" He ignores her and continues to walk. Betty catches up to him and grabs his arm. He turns around.
Jughead: "What??" Betty lets go of his arm.
Betty: "Jughead, what's wrong?" He stares at her in disbelief.
Jughead: "Nothing, it's just I thought we used to be friends. But lately you've been completely ignoring me."
Betty: "Jug...I-"
Jughead: "Whatever Betty." He walks away. Cheryl turns back to Betty.
Cheryl: "awww lovers spat?"
Betty: "Cheryl please leave us alone. We're not even together." Polly walks up to Betty. Cheryl shrugs and struts away.
Polly: "Hello."
Betty: "Oh hi Polly."
Polly: "Are you OK Betty?"
Betty: "I'm fine."
Polly: "I saw you from far down the hallway. You looked a bit distrot.
Betty: "Oh it's nothing. I just don't know where Archie is. Honestly I'm getting kind of worried..."
Polly: "I'm sure it's nothing. Well... see you at home I guess." She walks away.
The bells rings, Betty closes her locker and walks into a classroom.

The school bell rings for the 16th time signaling the end of the day. Betty walks out of a classroom and runs into Cheryl.
Cheryl: "Hey by the way I heard that Sheriff Keller announced a missing person."
Betty: "Really?! Who was announced missing?"
Cheryl: "Archie Andrews..."
Betty's eyes start to get watery.
Cheryl: Anyways I have to go! I'm sure he'll be back in no time."
Betty smiles a bit and Cheryl walks away. Betty sighs and goes home.
