Scene Six:
DS CHAMBERS and DS ARHERTON are at the station
DS CHAMBERS Can I ask you something?
DS ATHERTON Of course, just say it
DS CHAMBERS How come you were looking into the investigation?
DS ATHERTON Because, I've been home alone and I'm bored. I wanted to do something exciting. I already checked with HEAD OF COMMAND if I'm allowed to work on cases with being at the station. He said yes, so slowly I've been working on the 2010 case.
DS CHAMBERS I see, who are the suspects
DS ATHERTON Their ex-boyfriend
DS CHAMBERS Whose ex-boyfriend
DS ATHERTON you didn't know, they all were in an affair with the same guy, Richard Johnson. How come you didn't get into that?
DS CHAMBERS I never noticed that, or looked into it.
DS ATHERTON Ok, let's bring him to the station for a few questions
The next day
RICHARD JOHNSON Why am I here?
DS ATHERTON Because you had a relationship with all the victims of the 2010 case. Now tell us, why were you in a relationship with four women and you are married.
RICHARD JOHNSON I didn't want to be with them.
DS CHAMBERS What do you mean?
RICHARD JOHNSON I was forced to be get close to them, start a relationship, and get what someone needed.
DS ATHERTON Who forced you?
RICHARD JOHNSON I can't tell you.
DS ATHERTON You're going to, otherwise you're the prime suspect. We could charge you for this case.
RICHARD JOHNSON Please don't I have a child and a wife. I'll tell you. I was hired by COLE HANSEN.
DS ATHERTON Thank you, you may leave now.
RICHARD JOHNSON was escorted by police officers, and walked out of the room, at got into his car and headed to work.
DS CHAMBERS Why did you let him go so fast? We could've kept him at least overnight.
DS ATHERTON This case four years old, you did nothing, and four people died. Right now, we should be talking and investigating COLE HANSEN.
DS CHAMBERS Okay.
Three hours later after investigating COLE HANSEN'S profile.
DS ATHERTON to DS CHAMBERS, Call him over
DS CHAMBERS putting down the phone He should be here in ten minutes.
DS ATHERTON I hope my instincts is right and he is the guy.
DS CHAMBERS I still don't understand how you thought it was him
DS ATHERTON He's been in contact with RICHARD JOHNSON over for those last for years and they have nothing to connect that. They weren't from the same school, they never worked together, and their jobs are so different. So, he forced RICHARD JOHNSON to the dirty work which makes it look like he did it. I also heard that he was always asking you about this case. So, he wanted to see if he could get away with it. He was the one who killed those women.
COLE HANSEN Wow you figured me all out.
DS CHAMBERS Get in the room right now.
COLE HANSEN Okay, but don't forget I used to work here
DS ATHERTON And... You even switched majors, just answer our questions.
COLE HANSEN Okay. Begin
DS ATHERTON What's your relationship with RICHARD JOHNSON?
COLE HANSEN RICHARD JOHNSHON? He was my good friend.
DS ATHERTON So, what happened that you guys stopped talking after four year of continuous phone calls.
COLE HANSEN I don't have to answer personal questions
DS CHAMBERS "Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?"
COLE HANSEN Fine, I have nothing anyways jumping from one place to another. I was thinking what a bad detective you guys were, for not having it figured out for four years. "I must be gone and live, or stay and die." I wanted to leave–
DS ATHERTON I know you had a plane ticket for next week.
COLE HANSEN Yes, I was planning to settle down in America. But it looks like I'll be staying here.
DS CHAMBERS Why is that?
COLE HANSEN I'll admit, I killed them and I used RICHARD JOHNSON to get my information.
DS ATHERTON Why them?
COLE HANSEN They were vulnerable to me. Because they were liars.
