In Honor of my favorite holiday, Halloween, I present to you: Bruises.
_____
Jin's POV:
I sit at the piano, playing a calming song while Namjoon sets up our TV. I didn't trust to be around him while near electricity, so I decided to practice a song I had been working on.
"Old TV? Set up perfectly. New house? Almost unpacked. My love? Goes to none other than Kim Seokjin," Namjoon praises, relieved that he finished fixing the cords before he had to go to see his new classroom and whatnot.
I laugh, pausing my fingers to tease him, "good job babe, you didn't break anything this time."
He huffs, coming over to sit next to me on the piano bench, "it was only one time..."
"You broke the entire television set Namjoon," I lightly punch his shoulder. He reacts with a fake pained expression. He holds his shoulder, crying like a toddler would if you took away their toy.
"Such a baby," I giggle, kissing his shoulder before kissing his cheek. "You should probably get ready; wouldn't want to be late and piss off your boss."
Namjoon was a teacher and he had taken up a job for high school students in a different district. He wasn't too bad with kids, but he was too much of one to deal with other ones.
"Agh, sometimes I really don't want to work. I want to stay here with my beautiful husband," he pouts, resting his head on my shoulder.
"I know baby, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do. The day will fly past, I promise. It's only a few hours. Then you can come home and smooch me all over," I smile, kissing the top of his head.
"I suppose you're right. You're always right. I'll go get my things. By the way, your song is really coming along. It's beautiful, just like you," he flirts with a genuine admiration.
I beam shyly, "thank you, love."
He kisses my cheek before walking out of the living room and down the hall to our bedroom. We didn't need a huge house; there was only two of us. Possibly three in the future. I'd have to talk to Namjoon about that.
I start from the beginning, my fingers trailing over the keys and hitting each one gently. I read my sheet music, the lyrics just under the notes. Epiphany, the song was called. I slowed my pace, knowing the song was supposed to be faster, but I still had to connect the lyrics.
A sudden crash ricocheted across the house, scaring me into playing two keys that squealed off of each other. I cringed, standing up.
"Joonie? Are you alright?" I call out, walking down the hall and going to the kitchen where I heard the crash. A plate was shattered all over the floor.
"Joon!" I yell, curious and slightly worried when I wasn't able to find his presence.
"Yeah?" He calls, and I realize he's in the bathroom further down the hallway.
"Did you leave a plate out?" I ask, coming into view of the bathroom. He's brushing his teeth while combing his hair.
He shakes his head, spitting before answering me, "no, I've been here. Why?"
"There's a plate shattered across the kitchen floor," I state, confused at how a plate just crashed like that when they were supposedly set in a cupboard. "Maybe you left it out or something and it slipped."
He furrows his eyebrows but shrugs, "don't worry about it too much. I've gotta go."
He walks out, slipping on his shoes before grabbing his bag and kissing my lips, "can you look for my old files when you get the chance? I can't find them. See you tonight. I love you."
"Always losing things. I love you, too," I smile with a wave goodbye and walk back to the kitchen to clean up the plate.
Odd...
