*six months later*
November 15th, its Mom's birthday as well as WENDA-LEE-KA's grand opening. I named the café WENDA-LEE-KA because it's a combination of my birth names. Wendy, Liska Lee. Only the four of us know the reason why.
So just like I promised Julian, I designed a room for him at the back of the shop next to the kitchen out of sight. Nikki, Julian and I are my waiters while William runs the finances for me. I chose to be also a waiter, but I'm still the manager.
The theme I created for the coffee shop is modern industrial with a touch of bohemian. The walls are almost like marble grey with a LED coffee sign. There are a lot of octagon rustic chandeliers hang above the cashiers. The countertops are the same wood as the customer's tables. There is a pot plant in the corner of the shop that compliments the wooden tables and keeps the remainder of nature. The floor is a combination of wooden tiles and beehive marble tiles.
I must say that I'm satisfied with the theme of the shop. It creates a vibe that hopefully makes people addicted. Not only to the shop but also to all sorts of coffee and variable of the desert.
The comments and reviews I received so far are so good. It's time to face time with my family from home. "Hi, Mom, Dad, and little bro! How are you guys? Mom Happy birthday, I'm sorry I'm not there with you guys." my eyes get watery and Nikki, Julian, and William surround us.
(My family and I call every Monday, Wednesday and Friday's so they are in touch of everything from William to Julian)
"Hi, you guys!! I think you guys did a great job and we are so proud of you Lee. Next year we will try and be there for my birthday, I promise you. Little bro scored a girl and Dad here got a promotion. So don't you worry about us we are just fine. See you soon dear!" I showed them round also Julian's room. While we talk, the customers just getting more and more in. A few minutes later we say our goodbyes and I'm back as a waiter.
Nikki came to me in a rush and she said there's this man that wants to meet me, she looks at me with big eyes as if there's something just happened.
