"This looks like a job for Superman"

Focal City
Focal High Auditorium
I don't know who decided that the guest speaker at this years health and awareness assembly should be The Guardian. He was the most destructive, impulsive, and careless super we had in Focal City.
What exactly about him setting a twenty story building on fire screams 'I should be the spokesperson for how to stay safe'.
But I guess there are some pro's to The Guardian. Although he's destructive he has ties to the wealthy Hero Union-which always pays the city back for any property damage-and he's one of the youngest and most powerful superheroes in Focal. Not to mention that 90% of my high school is in love with him.
"Oh my super, I forget how to breathe!" Piper gasps besides me, her hand clutching mine like it's her life line. Piper's my best friend and included in the aforementioned 90%. Her room is stuffed with Guardian posters and merchandise. The entire population of Focal High is in our school auditorium, waiting for the super to arrive and for the assembly to start. Some of the people in here are bearing this assembly like I am, like its any other mandatory high school gathering. Most are contemplating which part of their body they'll ask Guardian to sign his autograph on. May-who is sitting on the other side of Piper-is somewhere in the middle.
"Air comes in and then air comes out, Pipes. He's not even here yet!" She hisses, pulling Piper off me. I stretch out my fingers, trying to regain some feeling.
"Pipes I'm pretty sure you cut off circulation," I groan. She rolls her eyes.
"Stop being such a baby. And you, May, shouldn't be talking. We all know how you would react if it was Lucas Steel coming through our schools doors and not Guardian." May's face flushes,
"Lucas Steel is a role model!" I actually laugh at that.
"May, Lucas Steel is the mayors son. He does nothing but look pretty at press conferences," I say, giving May a knowing look. "You like him cause he's hot."
"Very hot," May is quick to correct.
"Then you're no better than me!" Piper screams-attracting the stares of everyone around us.
"At least I know what his face looks like!" May lashes back.
"Honey, when a guy looks like The Guardian does in spandex, faces are merely a formality." Piper chuckles while he twirls a lock of her hair. "And you know, Lucas could be The Guardian. He had Haven." May scoffs.
"Yeah well so did Rowan-"(That's me by the way, Rowan Hayes, pleased to meet you)"-and I don't see her hiding a silicone mask in her backpack-" as soon as May says it her eyes shift to me, hesitant and almost scared. It's been ten years since the Haven break-out and people still tip-toe around the incident. Piper and May especially look like a deer caught in headlights whenever the topic comes up and I'm around. But I've been trying to convince them I'm okay-I'm not going to burst into tears whenever I hear the word 'Haven'. So, to insure May that she hasn't just scared me for life and that I'm actually super okay with something that happened a decade ago, I say:
"I agree with May. If Lucas is the Guardian then I must be living with the Hero Union."
May smiles. Piper rolls her eyes. Everything's back to normal.
That is, until, a fist about the size of me punches straight through the back wall of the auditorium.
Now I don't know if you've ever seen a fist fly clean through a wall like that-but if you have you probably reacted better than I am. I'm a state of pure and utter confusion. Questions like: 'how did that get there?' or 'that's probably so expensive to fix' fly through my head. And then the fist rips off a chunk of wall and a guy comes through.
Or, at least, I think it's a guy.
He's huge-about the size of four of me-and skin a color that's so pale it's almost white but also too pink not to be pink. And don't even get me started about the beef on this guy. Everything is bulging muscles and violet, barely contained under the skin, veins. He has about five strands of platinum blond hair on his head and his eyes are fully black. No whites. No irises. Just full on possessed 'I don't have a soul' inky, black, eyes.
And-I swear-they're train set on me.
And I still can't find it in myself to do anything and I realize why rather abruptly. It's because I'm scared.
Crazy, paralyzing fear is racing through my blood and I can't even breathe.
Then its Piper who-bless her-has never had the fastest reaction time with anything (whether it be in sports or getting asked something in class) who saves everyone in that auditorium. You know that classic first scream? The one that's followed by a chain of shrieks? That's Piper. But she doesn't so much as scream as say in a very calm, strong voice: "What the hell is that?"
Then May screams.
Then I stand.
Then it speaks. It as in the big pink thing.
"WHERE IS ROWAN HAYES?" It roars, spit flying out of his mouth.
Wait...did it say Rowan Hayes?
As in me?
Conveniently for him I'm already standing. Even more conveniently, everyone who know me is staring at me. I'm petrified all over again. And really confused.
"Well I don't know about Rowan Hayes," a voice from the opposite side of the room suddenly drawls. All heads spin to the guy in gold spandex who just spoke. "But I'm The Guardian. Pleased to meet you!" He flashes the thing a pearly smile that has a dimple on one side.
Beside me, Piper faints.

Hello lovely readers, I have edited and changed the beginning to this story. This of course means that it won't line up with the rest of the story.
I am super sorry about that.
But before nothing really made sense, and nothing big is changing (plot, characters, everything is still the same) it's just gonna take me a bit of time to make all the dots connect and to edit the following chapters to add up with this one. Please bare with me, changes should be completed before August. Chapters after 4 should be good and only in need of minor editing so don't worry about anything drastic there.
Thank you so much for reading, you make stories worth writing
