Navigator walked around the camp with Vince beside him. He knew that he didn't trust him but he kept him around cause Aris' aunt Mary wanted to keep him safe. As he walked around he saw everyone at work in the wheat field, cutting the crops for harvest. Navigator ran his hands along the wheat, loving the feeling of it touching his hands, tickling them. As he walked past Thomas he smiled brightly making Navigator give him a small smile.
He saw Chuck sitting on his own in the corner and it made Aris long to run over and hug his younger brother. For some strange reason he also wanted to help the younger boy. He stopped as he saw Vince stop.
"You can help out here" He said, before handing him a hoe. "You can work with Thomas" He said, pointing towards the boy. Navigator nodded as he turned to walk toward Thomas. "Great, helping out with the only person who likes you" Aris said inside his head.
"Be quiet he's just trying to be nice"
"Yeah he's only helping you so he can end up getting laid" Navigator made a confused face at the voice in his head.
"I'm just going to ignore what you just said" He said as he reached Thomas who turned to him with a smile.
"Hey Newt" He says with a smile.
"Newt?" He asked with a smile.
"I shortened your name to Newt, Navigator wasn't really a good name so I shortened it to Newt cause Newts are cute" He tells him, Navigator's cheeks going a light pink.
"T, thank you Tommy"
"Tommy huh?" He says with a smile. "I like it, sounds cool" Newt smiles as he looks around at everyone looking at him and Thomas.
"They really don't like me very much do they?" He asked Thomas.
"Well you are the first one of your kind to be here and live among us, they're just a bit worried that you'll lead more of them here"
"If he did I'd end up making him suffer" Newt rolled his eyes lightly at what Aris' said and just looked at Thomas.
"Well I'm stuck here, even if I don't like it or not" He told Thomas who just looked at him with a smile.
"Well I'm glad your here, you make this place a whole lot more fun" Newt smiles as him and Thomas get to working and slowly getting closer to the human who didn't fear or call him a creature.
