It was back to normal. I'm here in class, Introduction to Political Analysis. I was taking notes while Angel was just napping beside me. Wala talagang pake 'to.
My phone pinged continuously in my pocket. I checked kasi baka emergency. Nobody texts me usually naman.
Why does he have my number? I just continued taking notes, maya na ako magreply. And my social media accounts? San ba to galing lahat?
Napaka-bad influence talaga nitong babaeng to.
My phone buzzed again and I checked. It was Vico again.
I responded with "Katatapos lang. Why?"
Angel said we had to meet up with Juan, Sam, Jack and Nicole. Sabi niya short meeting lang.
Since Sam and Juan still had one class left, Angel said na hangout muna daw kami sa coffee shop tapat ng school. Pumayag naman ako, wala naman akong gagawin.
"Ma'am Yanne?" A guy in a usual bodyguard uniform approached me. "Yes?"
"She's free. Bye, Yanne!" Agad-agad niyang sabi at tinulak niya ako.
The driver suddenly asked. I just shook my head because I was still in awe of the luxurious car.
Di ko alam saan kami papunta at gaano to magtatagal pero grabe. I didn't expect Vico to own a car like this. Di naman siya corrupt na mayor. I opened my phone and looked up the net worth of Vico Sotto pero walang lumabas.
Instead, Vic Sotto's net worth came up. Is this his dad?
Vic Sotto's net worth was $14 million. In pesos, 500 million?! Oh. My. Lord. My jaw dropped. Grabe. Kaya naman pala afford nila. I looked at the car and parang ang rangya. Parang sa mga prinsesa, prinsipe ganon.
I followed Vico back on all the social medias and saved his contact number. Nakaka-shook naman pala tong si Vico.
"Andito na tayo, ma'am." The driver's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked out the window and it was the city hall.
He repeated so I'd get out na. I took a deep breath and opened the car door. Daming tao, di mo ata mamamalayan kung sino mga tao dito because the mayor is very welcoming and pinapaentertain niya sa kanyang interns ang mga citizens na may reklamo.
I walked towards the city hall's entrance. "Saan po office ni mayor?" I asked the guard. "Straight lang po kayo, ma'am. Nariyan ang secretary niya sa pinakadulo." He answered while pointing towards the direction I should go to. "Salamat, sir." I smiled at him. I thought the guard would ask me for my ID pero he just nodded his head as a greeting.
I walked towards the secretary's desk and I waited for her to ask me kung ano appointment ko. Instead, she got off her desk and opened a tinted glass door for me. I saw Vico inside and he nodded his head at the secretary. His secretary then gathered her things and left.
"Hi." He smiled at me. "5 minutes." He said then winked at me. He resumed to signing a pile of papers. My phone vibrated in my pocket.
It was my Dadad. Ang weird, di talaga to nagtetext sa akin. He just calls once a month lang ata cause he's super busy in Dubai. Pinipilit niyang magpakabusy.
"Is there anything wrong?" I looked at Vico, snapping out of my thoughts. "Ahh, wala naman. My Dadad just texted me. Weird." I scrunched my eyebrows together. He just smiled at me.
He arranged all the papers on his desk and picked his bag up. He tilted his head as a sign na umalis na kami. I just stood up and followed him to a backdoor.
He opened the door and there was the car I rode earlier. "Saan tayo pupunta?" I asked him with a curious look on my face. "You'll see." He gave me a toothy grin and grabbed my hand para pumasok kami sa sasakyan.
