Here we go again, huh?
We've reached the end of the second book of the reboot, and I don't think I could possibly be more excited. In total, this book is over 300,000 words long and nearly 900 pages. We've come such a long way compared to where we started on this series five years ago, and I'm amazed that it's grown to this degree.
I want to thank everyone who has read the story for helping it to get this far. I know that it's been a long ride, but I really do appreciate every read, like, and comment that I get. It really does mean a lot to me.
Today (April 11, 2020), marks the fifth birthday of this beloved series. Much like with the first book, this is my second time traversing this story, and I don't think I could possibly be happier with it. I'm in awe at how much this series has grown, and I believe that I'll be writing it for many years to come.
I'm going to be posting the rewrite of the third book, 'Web of Mistrust', this Thursday. 'Web of Mistrust' is easily my favorite out of the original trilogy, and I can't wait to see what this fresh coat of paint will do for it. I do hope that you'll choose to check it out and see these characters evolve in a new setting.
Now for the special thanks to everyone who helped me to get this series so far. Thank you so much to my writing squad (Polly, Niamh, Lily, and Lillian) for helping me to get this story out. It's been five years since we met as of today, and I think that's crazy. You guys inspired me to write this series in the first place, and you've done nothing but encourage me ever since. I love you guys lots, and I know that this series would not exist without your contribution. Thank you so much.
Now, let's talk about this chapter. Much like with the last book, this chapter is full of character profiles. That said, this chapter contains MAJOR SPOILERS. While there's nothing quite as big in this one as the reveal in the last book, the spoilers are still very significant. There isn't a spoiler segment for this book's profiles either since there isn't any big group of significance (*cough* Oracle *cough*). If you're reading these without having finished the book yet, be very careful. I highly suggest finishing the rest of the story first.
For the names listed under character profiles, here's the code. I'm Digital, Polly is Hatty, Niamh is Ace, Lily is Shiny, and Lillian is Phoenix. Like I said earlier, I couldn't have gotten this far without the character creators and my backup squad, so thank you all again so much.
Now, with all of that out of the way, thank you guys so much for helping me to come this far. I'll see you on Thursday with the release of 'Web of Mistrust'!
