I came to in a dark room with only one light hanging above my head. My mouth was still bound by a rag and I was tied to a chair. I wiggled, trying to break free, but to no result. A door opened on the other side of the room and the man who had pulled me out of the car followed an older looking man, who was familiar in a strange way.
The first man looked to be about fifty, his hair had sliver flecks in it and his aging face looked intimidating and mad. The second man, the one that grabbed me, was slightly taller and walked with a swagger in his step and was attractive for a twenty or thirty year old. I cringed when the older man leaned over me.
"I bet you are curious as to why you are here." He smirked. I leaned back to get away from his horrible breath. "You are here to get revenge on your daddy." He stood up straight and crossed his arms. I noticed a scar on his face. "Your dad was never thrown in jail sweetheart. He is in hiding. The bastard ratted out his own family and faked his own arrest. He is now in the witness protection program to hide from his own brother." The man slowly walked around me. "Once he hears about his precious princess getting kidnapped he'll coming running home." He started to sound evil. Why is he telling me all this? I wiggled out of my gag.
"That means you are my uncle?" I asked in disgust.
"Yes." He stated and retied the gag."Your daddy got our father thrown in jail for life! And as a result our mother killed herself!" My uncle started to turn red. "Carlos here will be taking care of you and making sure you don't try getting away." He snapped his fingers. "Carlos take her to the room."
Carlos nodded, untied my feet and helped me stand. He pushed me forward and forced me to walk. On the other side of the door was an elevator that opened just in time. I was pushed into it and caught myself by the face. Carlos snickered and pushed a button.
The doors slid open when we reached our floor. On the other side was a spectacular room. Carlos pushed me threw the doors and untied me.
"What is this place?" I asked, rubbing my wrists.
"An old hotel that closed down ten years ago. Your Grandfather bought it as a place to stay and make plans. Your uncle took over the family business afterwards." Carlos sighed. I nodded and looked around, this was the fanciest place I have ever stayed in, even if I was being held hostage, it was cool.
"So are you like my babysitter now?" I mocked.
"You are lucky I am not aloud to touch you little girl." He scowled at me. "Now, do you want to eat or not?" He asked in a scary tone.
"You cooking or are we ordering room service?" I asked.
"Room service." He said through clenched teeth.
"Okay... I'll have pizza with bacon and extra cheese." I smiled and he rolled his eyes.
I flopped down on the couch and flicked on the tv. My favorite Christmas movie was on, Die Hard, I leaned back and relaxed.
"Want to watch? It's the best Christmas movie ever!" I stretched and looked back at Carlos.
"Die Hard?" He looked at me with skepticism.
"What? Don't like it?" I shrugged. He sighed and sat down.
I burst out laughing when John McClane said "Yippee Ki Yay motherfucker!" and couldn't stop until the elevator opened. Carlos stood up and walked over to the man inside. I cocked my head to see him carrying a pizza.
"Yas!" I shouted as he handed me the pizza box.
"Are you seriously not freaked out that your uncle kidnapped you?" He asked as he stuffed a slice in his mouth.
"Nah, he won't hurt me, I'm too 'important' in his plan. And you won't hurt me cause my uncle scares you." I stretched my hands behind my head.
"What about your family?" He suggested.
"They won't miss me. I'm kind of the family scrooge." I turned down the volume and looked at him. "Why are you here?" I sat up and glared at him.
"He picked me up off the street and took me in, eventually I had to make up for all his help by working for him." He explained. I nodded, unsure what to say I continued watching Die Hard.
