I woke up in the middle of the night, Big Mac wasn't in the room. Out of curiosity I got up to investigate.
Mac was standing at the balcony doors like a bouncer. The faint sound of begging was masked by the wind. I ran over to see what was going on. Big Mac wouldn't let through so I looked around him.
My uncle and another man were holding someone over the balcony edge asking him questions.
"Why did she ask to see you?" Tony barked.
"She just wanted to say goodbye and make sure I was okay." He screamed. The voice was Carlos'.
"Let him go!" I called. "He didn't do anything." My uncle heard me and smirked.
"You heard her let him go." He released Carlos' feet and so did the other man. I screamed as Carlos disappeared.
"You murder!" I burst into tears. My uncle chuckled and pushed past me.
"Thanks for the advice. You take after me."
"I will never be like you." I snapped. "You killed him. You killed a man on Christmas eve." Tears started to fall.
"Mac. Lock her up until she calms down." He called from the elevator. Mac nodded and picked me up and carried me to the bedroom. The doors were all locked from the outside and I sat in the corner and cried.
"Santa if you are real, if you can hear me, get me out of here, help me, please." I sobbed and placed my head on my knees.
