I wake up with the sun streaming in my window. I slowly get up and throw my blankets off my tired body. I drag my body to the bathroom and start my regular routine. About 30 minutes later, I lazily walk down the stairs and pour a bowl of my favorite cereal. After I finish, I brush my teeth and feel a rush of mint fill my mouth. Then I grab my phone and turn it on, only to see 137 texts from my friends Briley Lamaster, Josué Meza, and Kyndelyn Suter. I start spamming them back when all of a sudden I get a text from John. I get butterflies in my stomach and feel like I am about to hurl. I keep thinking to myself, "Why does God do this to me?" I wonder if I would actually have a chance with him.........

When I get on the bus, I see him staring at me. He says "Come over here and sit in the seat next to me."

I say "Okay."

He looks me in the eyes and I blush. Embarrassed I walk to that seat and sit down. Then I remember how the past summer texting him went. I remember him yelling at me and us getting in a huge fight. He had stopped texting me for 2 weeks and I did not dare even text him to see if he would answer. I did not want to get hurt again. Those 2 weeks were the most miserable weeks of my life. He finally texted me saying he was sorry and he had not the faintest clue of what had gotten into him and he promised me, he would never treat me like that again. I beamed in happiness thinking maybe when I see him again, he will talk to me and get to know me better, and we could possibly start dating. But you know how that goes.
