Chapter Nine: "Breaking News" (girl v.)

First Person's Perspective:

When the scene in the living room went away after a few days, you ended up sitting in the living room watching your favorite anime/show/movie. It was getting really funny, and the main character was making it more difficult for theirselves to finish the job because they were an idiot. That's when the news came in to interrupt the whole thing.

"Breaking News here today, folks. It seems that there has been the onsite of a woman inside of a trashcan just rotting away. A man found her in an alley bleeding to death from opened wounds and many stab wounds as well. Here's a picture of the woman, herself."

As soon as the TV showed her, you screamed in horror while crying tears of pain and sorrow as well. This loud disruption cause the boys and April to run into the living room to find you on the floor, hands clenched into fists, and head and fists against the screen.

"What happened, [Your name]?" Mikey asked before you got up without looking at them and pointed to the screen. "T-Th-This woman...she's my mother...and she's dead..." You stuttered out somehow before the gang's eye sockets widened so much, it seemed as if they'd fall out onto the floor. Luckily them didn't.

Leo looked at the TV to see they were telling the truth. It was a surprise to him that they didn't find her any time sooner since he killed her a month ago, but he assumed it was because she wasn't very well known to very many people. And besides, she was stuffed into a trashcan in the alley without anyone to pick it up or anything like that. And even with it being daylight, you couldn't see the alley unless you went into the alley yourself without running off somewhere.

You cried into the palms of your hands. You couldn't help it. I mean, sure she wasn't the best mother of the year, or even tried to be a good enough mother, but it's not like you didn't care for her. She was the only other family you had since your father decided that it was a good idea to leave you on your own.

Raph, Mikey, Donnie, and April crowded around you and held you in their embrace of a warm hug. April patted the top of your head before saying "It's okay, girl. We've got you."

Your eyes widened in surprise before Mikey said as he nuzzled your belly "We'll find out who killed your mother somehow. Okay, [Nickname]?"

Donnie would've usually patted you on the back, or used one of his gadgets to pat you for him, hut instead he hugged you from behind and said before putting his head into the crook of your neck "We won't give up on the search for the culprit, not even a wink of sleep will stop us. You hear?"

Your eyes became a little bit heavy when Raph said "[Your name], you're dear to us all, so don't think we'll let this slide. Cause no one messes with our friend. Got it?" You chuckled and nodded before hugging them all back somehow.

Leo was not pleased in anyway. He wanted to kill them all where they stood as they comfort you. Shouldn't he be the one to comfort you? Shouldn't he be the one to say these things to you? Shouldn't he be the one to do so? That's what he thought anyways. He knew if he was to just come out and say he was the one that murdered your mother, he'd see horror in your eyes, and that's the last thing he wanted from you. So, reluctantly, he said before pushing everyone else aside as gently as possible and hugging you "I'm so sorry, [Your name]. I really am. Don't be so sad, please. I promise everything will turn out fine in the end. For you. 'Kay?"

You felt your heart flutter as he said these words to you. You found yourself hugging him back, and putting your face into his neck. It was feeling like heaven at the moment, and you found some peace in this whole thing.

To be honest, you didn't really want to find out the killers identity cause you were scared who it was, but you wanted to ask them why they ended up killing her in the first place. Well look no further, for your killer was hugging you, and wearing a malicious smile that he wouldn't dare to hide. Everyone apart from you could see the smile that was so nerve wrecking, and send chills down their spines. This was Leo's way of saying to everyone else there:

"Come in my way, or hold my [Your name] again, and you will die."
