Chapter Sixteen: "Live Or Die" [Raph's POV]

A week had went by, and [Your name did not showed up yet, despite all of my texts I sent to her/him. What is it that Leo had done to them? I was afraid for them and the danger they may have been in at the very moment I looked at the exit out of the lair. I was tempted to go and tell my other two brothers, Mikey and Donnie, but I didn't know what I should've said to them or if I should even say anything at all. So incase something happens in the end of it all that keeps me from coming back. And instead wrote down a note. I knew my hand writing was sloppy, and they probably couldn't tell what it spelled if and when they read it. But even so, this was my last attempt. My last attempt to find my first crush, [Your name], and win their heart. Why is it my last?

There was something that happened.

Leo came back finally. Only for the last time. He said he was coming to get something from his room. He said and I quote: "It's for something important later today." And once he came out, he had a hand bag with him before leaving. He didn't come back after that, despite the fact that he promised that he would. That bag had some blood on it, and I don't believe it's his own. And the fact that I had been following him for almost two weeks, and not once when I followed him did he

I wrote down an instruction on how to go to that room down in the sewers. At this point I don't need instructions to get there. Hell, I don't even need to follow him anymore in order to get to that door. But if I want to make sure he is actually going to go to the door, I need to follow him wherever he goes. The only place he does go to is that door. That's it.

After finishing the note, I put it on the couch and ran off to the exit before leaving the place completely.

After being stealthy about where I walk towards, I found the door again. It isn't too hard to get around when you memorized the route like the back of your hand. After finally making it to the door, I saw Leo walking out of it with a plastered smile on his face, and a tint of green spread across his cheeks. He sighed and said like he was in a dream "It is so great! She/He loves me deeply!" And skipped off somewhere I couldn't go to. The only reason why is cause he must not have noticed, but he left the door open a crack bit. In a panic, I ran towards the door and opened it all the way. Only to see....

"[Your name]?"

They were standing there ever so still, and their eyes were dull and blank and soulless. Like a doll's eyes. Their face was [pale/lighter dark] then usual. They even had greasy hair. And stench like they hadn't had a bath in a long time. My eyes started to tear up as the water that formed from my eye lid started to come out fall out like a waterfall. I ran up to them and hugged them so tightly forgetting how tiny in comparison to me that they are. I might have crushed a few bones by accident. "[YOUR NAME]!" I screamed out without any feeling of a warm embrace returning my hug. "I thought you were hurt! Or worse...that doesn't matter anymore!" I said as I let go. I held them by their shoulders, then looked at them as they had an emotionless face that never faded away. "I'm gonna get you out of here! You can come with me! I promise that this is the end of your hell here!" Their face didn't falter from emotionless. They just said in a whisper "Don't make promises you won't be able to keep." My eyes widened a little bit, and said "Why?" "Cause...if I leave, he's going to kill you all...he told me so himself...and even if I went with you, and no one got killed...he'd steal me back..."

"So what?! We'll protect you and we'll keep him from getting back in the lair!" I said before she/he touched my hands and gave her/his best smile that they could manage, and said in a silent tone "I'm fine anyways...tell them all that I'm okay, and that I am living alone and...that I'm not in any harm." She/He looked to the floor and closed her/his eyes before saying "I'll be fine. As long as I agree to his words, I'll be taken care of. And no one will be harmed...just leave, and forget about me and this place...and never come back." My hands started to shake in mixed feelings. Feelings of sadness, anger, terror, and hate for my brother. For everything he's done to them. How can he put her/him in this condition knowing full well that they'd become broken eventually?  All because he wants them to himself?

"No! I'm going to stay here and find a way to get you out of here- GRAGH!"

I looked down to see Leo's sword thrusted into my torso, causing there to be blood spousing all over the place. I could also taste the blood from my mouth come out and fall to the ground. The same happened to me as I fell to the ground after the sword thrusted out of my stomach. I rolled over and saw it was Leo, with bloodlust smile, and red in his eyes. He then said "Then stay you shall." I looked up to see [Your name] smiling, but cried out a small whimper as she/he said with despair in their eyes "I'm so sorry...please forgive me...I didn't save you..." I smiled as best as I could through the pain I felt. "I d-don't blame y-you...I...love you..." With that, I felt their eyes tears fall on my face. They didn't answer that back with the same words I said, but I was okay with that. I just closed my eyes, feeling the undeniable truth falling onto my soul. Death, and it was cold.

"Can I hold him till he dies, Leo?"

"...yes. Only till he dies."

I felt a warm pare of arms lift my head, and then put my head down on their legs. "It's okay, Raph...I'm here now. I'll be here till you sleep...and if you wake up...I'll try to be there..." Sweet lies. But they made it harder to accept the truth. "T-Thanks...I...love...you...[Your name]..."

I said that, my last words ever on earth. My life was over before I could save them.
