"Can I have my favorite coffee please?" Paige asked.
"Paige, any reasons for coming early?" Gab asked.
"Well, I want to pick up my friend so we can go to school together," he replied while looking around the cafe'.
"Paige, I can go to school on my own without being late," she replied as she hands him his drink and a croissant.
"Gab, I need to tell you something and this can't wait," he replied before sipping his coffee.
"Paige, nice to see you! Hope Gab is treating you well," Uncle Angelo greeted Paige.
"He's picking me up, Uncle," Gab said.
"Uncle, Gab, and I will go home late since Uncle Ricardo wants her in the event tonight," Paige said.
"Ricardo and I wish to someday, his busy with things and now he wants my baby to take part in his event," Uncle said.
"I'll tell him later that you wish to meet with him one of these days," Gab said.
"Why are you guys still here?" Phoebe asked as she spotted the three talking.
"We're leaving soon," Gab replied as she filled up her tumbler with coffee.
"How you've been, Phoebe?" Paige asked.
"Everything is great, Paige," Phoebe said.
"You two should be careful and enjoy," Uncle Angelo replied.
"I'll wait for you later," Phoebe replied as she hugs her.
"Phoebe, you don't need to wait for me if you're tired," Gab said.
"Tired or not, I'll stay for you until you come home so I can hug my adorable sister," Phoebe replied as she fixes Gab's hair.
"We should leave now Gab even though I am enjoying watching you being embarrassed," Paige replied as he got off from his stool.
"Whatever," Gab replied as she started running towards the exit door.
"I'll bring her home safe," Paige said before catching up with Gab.
"Thanks, Paige," Phoebe replied as she waves goodbye.
"Good morning!" Professor Romano said as she entered the room.
"Today, I will summarize what our class will tackle for this semester," she replied.
"Are we going for group activities?" Cali asked.
"I will discuss it in a minute," she replied.
"Do we have exams for this class professor?" Avery asked.
"I don't want to check questionnaires or make them so we will not go with the typical exam," she replied as she opens her laptop.
As the professor discuss the group activities, she started pairing up students for the final paper.
"Any ideas for the paper, Gab?" Cali asked.
"In Manhattan I only know a few compared to Brooklyn," Gab replied.
"We can check out your place first, "Cali said.
"My suggestion is we should go to Domino Park, DUMBO, and a coffee shop in Manhattan," Gab said.
"We should figure out when we will meet," Cali said as she watched at her phone calendar.
"It depends on you since I only live near and I can adjust to your schedule," Gab said.
"I guess we can start on Wednesday at Domino Park" Cali said.
"Can we meet at my place?" Gab asked.
"Yes, send me the location so I can keep it as a reminder on my phone," Cali said.
"I sent you the link so check it on your messages," Gab said.
"Our time is up, I will give you further instructions as well for your paper, so it will be great if you're in our meetings, class dismissed," Professor said.
"Send me a message if you wish to change the location or day of our meeting," Cali said.
"Ok, I'll send it to you once I'm free" Gab replied.
Gab moved to the library after class, where Paige is waiting for her.
"So how is class today?" Paige asked.
"Our professor gave us instructions for our task. "I'll be working with Cali on the project," Gab replied.
"Cali, the girl who has a YouTube channel?" he inquired.
"Yeah, we'll be going to Domino Park this coming Wednesday," she replied.
"You're lucky enough to be her partner," he told.
"I want this project done so I can work on other things," she replied.
"Working at the coffee shop'?," he asked.
"I'm helping them if they need another person on the shift. I want to make the espresso drinks for fun," she said.
"Other people still see you are working even though for you it's for fun," he told.
"Bar tending is not work for you either," she said.
"Phoebe worries that you're overworking yourself with a bunch of things," he told.
"Phoebe has to stop worrying," she replied.
"I should tell my dear cousin to have a date with her," he answered as he plays with his food.
"Yes, you should," she replied.
"Don't you want them to get married, Gab?" he asked.
"I do, but I guess Phoebe has no plan of getting married soon," she replied.
"Let them be," he told.
"I'll be hanging out at the library while waiting for your class to end. In that way, we can go meet with Uncle Ricardo soon," she said.
"Sounds a plan to me. I'll call you once my class ends," he replied.
"Ok, I'll pass time at the library," she said.
"Don't sleep in the library. You won't be able to answer my call if you do," he replied.
"Fine, get going or you'll be late for your class.
"Catch you later," he replied as he started walking towards the exit.
"You're ready?" Paige asked Gab as she jumps on his motorcycle.
"Yeah, I'm ready," she replied as she hugs Paige.
"Hold on tight, this will be a wild ride," he said as he launched the engine.
"I'm worried that I have no bartenders tonight," Uncle Ricardo said.
"We said yes to your uncle, so we're supposed to appear," Gab said.
"I hope Angelo didn't scold you for coming here," he said.
"A little but he is fine with it as long as you meet with him someday," Paige said.
"Don't worry. I'll call him later or tomorrow," he said.
"Well, shall we prepare for tonight?" Gab asked.
"I set everything for you two. You need to do is make my customers happy once we open. You guys can order in the kitchen if you need something to eat," Uncle Ricardo said.
"Thanks, Uncle!" Paige said Kisses, Uncle!" Paige said as he looking at the bottles inside the fridge.
"You're so excited tonight, Paige," Gab said.
"Well, I'm excited because I'll do what I love best and this time it's with you. I heard that celebrities are coming tonight. How cool is that?" He asked.
"I'm sending Phoebe a text message so she shouldn't need to wait for me tonight," she answered as she types on her phone.
"Hey, Gab! I saw Cali Williams and her friends came in a few minutes ago. I heard from Roberto that she's a regular here," Paige replied.
"So, what if she's a regular?" she asked while wiping glasses.
"Nothing Gab," he replied.
"Whatever, I need you to help me with these glasses," she said.
"Why are you a hater?" he asked he called for as he wipes.
"I'm not a hater, I want to sleep as soon as possible," she replied.
"Well, it was a grand night! Thanks to you two for coming in," Uncle Ricardo did.
"It was fun tonight, thanks to you. You should inform us that celebrities will be coming. I should dressed myself up more," Paige said.
"They told me last minute they are coming, you realize how busy these people can be," Uncle said.
"I'm glad it ran well," Gab said.
"You two can sleep at the hotel tonight. I reserve two rooms for you," Uncle said.
"That's so cool!" Paige said as he hugs him.
"Boy, you never change, don't you? Go now, a lady can't stay out this late," Uncle said as he stared at Gab.
"I appreciate it, Father," Gab said.
"Don't worry, I called Angelo for you," he said.
After they said their goodbyes, the two started going towards the hotel.
On their way, they encountered Cali Williams vomiting on the street.
"What shall we do, Gab?" Paige asked.
"I'm thinking Paige," she replied.
"Um mm... Hey Cali, is someone picking you up?" he inquired as he helps her sit on a nearby bench.
Cali didn't respond since she looks to be half-conscious or out of this world since she is drunk by now.
"So much for having friends. Can you carry her to the hotel?" she asked him as she put a jacket on Cali.
"Yes, let's go before the temperature drops," he replied as he carried Cali who's sleeping.
"What should we do with her?" Paige asked while they were waiting for their breakfast.
"We'll buy her breakfast and get it delivered to the room. I bought aspirin and left a note on top of the side table for her," Gab replied.
"I guess that solve our problem," he said.
"Paige, I don't want her to learn that I help her," she replied before sipping her cappuccino.
"Why Gab?" he asked.
"Because she's with Jade, and I don't want to cause any friction," she replied.
"I understand," he said.
"Phoebe is calling. What should I say now?" she inquired as she caught Phoebe's name on her phone screen.
"Answer it and put her on a loudspeaker," he replied as he moved closer to Gab.
"Here goes nothing," she replied as she answered the call.
"Gabrielle, when are you coming home?," Phoebe asked over the phone.
"Gabrielle will come home with me for lunch with my mom today," Paige said.
"No! She will come with me today," she responded as she protested.
"Paige is joking. We are finishing breakfast thus will go home," Gab said.
"Hurry, ok? Phoebe said.
"Ok!" Gab said.
"Phoebe has a sister complex, I hope you realize Gab. I wonder how she will react if you're in a relationship again," Paige said.
"She's fine with it when Luke and I were dating," she replied.
"Things are different now Gab," he said.
"We will see Paige," she said.
"Don't worry," he said.
"Not for long though," she said.
"Why?" he asked.
"I notice that Cali Williams has caught your attention," she replied.
"I can't hide from you, can I? he said.
"You're easy to read," she replied.
"Even if I do, we can't be together since she has a man now," he said.
"Michael Smith, captain of the basketball team and excels in academics," she said.
"Kind of hard to compete with," he said.
"He may be popular in school, but you still stand a chance somewhere else," she said.
"Let's conclude this conversation by me telling you I am not ready to be in a relationship," he replied as he rose from his seat.
"Whatever you say, Paige, as long as your happy with the life," she said.
"Let's get you home before Uncle Angelo and Phoebe commits a crime for me not bringing their baby back on time," he said.
"Got it," she said.
"They still considered you are though even if you say you're not," he responded as he turns on the motorcycle to life.
"I want to make them realize that I'm a lady now who can carry out her own decisions," she replied as she hops on the back seat.
"I hope that day to come to Gab so I can hang out with you more without Uncle Angelo calling me," he told as they make their way to Brooklyn.
"They'll come soon Phoebe, she just told," Uncle Angelo did as he joins her on the sofa.
"I want her home with us, Dad," she said.
"Gabrielle will ever be a part of us, she has grown to be a fine young lady. She can make her own choices now and we need to support her till the end," he said.
"What if she leaves us someday, Dad?" she asked as she looks at her dad's face.
"Phoebe, it's hard but if we love a person, we will let them live the way they wanted for themselves," he replied as he wraps his arms around her.
"Gabrielle will not marry soon Dad," she said.
"My child, we cannot worry ourselves with such things are not in top of us," he said.
"Hi, Uncle! I apologize if I can't bring Gab home last night. It was busy that we close late. I hope Uncle Ricardo fill you in," Paige said.
"He called me, no need for an apology, my boy," Uncle said.
"Gab! I missed you so much," Phoebe replied.
"I guess I can understand by how tight your hug is," Gab said.
"Well, I'll meet with my mom soon, so I wish to my leave now," Paige said.
"Thanks, Paige, for the ride. I'll catch up with you later," Gab said.
"I'm a call away girlfriend," he replied before leaving.
"What's with this girlfriend thing, Gab?' Phoebe asked.
"Don't mind Paige, he's tired. It's been an interminable night," Gab replied as she settled on her bed.
"Are you tired as well? I can leave you now so you can rest," Phoebe said.
"You can stay. I've slept well last night at the hotel so I'm not that sleepy or tired," she replied.
"I understand," Phoebe replied as she lay beside Gab.
"Something is bothering you," Gab said as she stared at Phoebe.
"It's something at work, but my co-worker said she will fix it, so I'll check when I get to work," she replied.
"Hey, don't stress yourself too much," Gab said.
"I'll try. Any plans today? I'm free if you want to do something," Phoebe asked.
"Nothing much, I can go with you if you prefer to go somewhere," Gab replied.
"I'm not in the mood for shopping, let's walk around later after lunch. Dad will meet Uncle Ricardo, so he won't be eating dinner with us," she said.
"Sounds good to me," Gab said.
"Logan called, do you want to come with me after lunch? "she asked.
"Yeah, I heard Stephen came back from his vacation," Gab replied.
"Yeah, he was talking non-stop the other day," she said.
"Well, I hope we meet Bailey today," Gab said.
"Let me cook so we can get out of here soon," Phoebe replied as she rolled out of the bed.
"I'll stay here for a while if that's ok with you," Gab said.
"No worries, I'll call you when I'm done," she answered before leaving the room.
"Thanks Phoebe!" Gab said.
A few minutes later Gab took a shower before having lunch to refresh herself from the interminable night that she had.
"Dad was cooking lunch when I got to the kitchen," Phoebe replied as she watched Gab entered the room.
"I assumed you girls were sleeping, so I cook," Father said as he was preparing the table.
"We'll be dropping by the cafe' before walking around the neighborhood," Phoebe Phoebe replied as she pouring water for us.
"That's good! Bailey is asking when you guys are dropping. I'll meet with Ricardo, so you girls figure out what's your dinner for tonight," Uncle Angelo answered.
"We'll eat somewhere, Uncle," Gab said while playing with her pasta.
"You girls enjoy and try not to stay out late. We don't see what is in people's minds these days," he said.
"We're staying in Brooklyn, so we'll be home soon enough," Phoebe said.
"I will head out now since Ricardo is calling me," Father said as he pulls out his phone from his pocket.
"Don't worry, we'll clean up before we go out. Enjoy yourselves today," Phoebe said.
As they finish cleaning, they went to the cafe' where the crew is waiting for them.
"Gabrielle, I miss you," Bailey greeted them by the door.
"Calm your nerves girl, she's still mine," Phoebe replied as she caught Bailey grab Gab's arm.
"I see but someday Gabrielle will realize that I'm better than you," Bailey said hugging Gab's arm.
"What's this noise that I'm hearing?" Logan asked.
"Your sister is annoying me, Logan," Phoebe replied.
"Gab, do you have something to say?" Logan asked.
"Nope, I don't even know why they are arguing," Gab replied before heading out to the bar where she stared at Stephen and Kylie.
"I'm still better than you and I can prove it once you and Logan get married," Bailey said before joining Gab and the others.
"You two should stop arguing who's better since Gab doesn't care," Logan said as he watched them.
"Even if Bailey will be my twin-in-law, Gab will not be hers," Phoebe said.
"Gab will be my sister too and I'm excited since she's a wonderful girl," he said.
"Logan, your sister is a gamer. Gab needs to socialize more for her, well," she said.
"They'll be fine, don't you realize that they are interacting with other people?" he asked.
"They are playing video games, that's why they are getting along," she said.
"Phoebe, they're grownups. They can decide for themselves," he replied.
"Why are you tolerating them? She asked.
"I am the one who introduces these things to Bailey," he replied with a smile.
"This is so helpless," she said.
"Watch them, they are enjoying themselves. Why not try to relax?" he asked as they both sat on a couch.
"It's because Gab's past is catching up on us now even though she doesn't see," she answered as she looks at the group.
"We can't worry such things is not yet in top of us, Phoebe," he replied.
"It's hard, Logan, but you're right," she said.
"Instead of talking things that make us sad, why won't we join them? The cafe will close soon. Why won't we hang out after?" he asked.
"If you're okay with hanging out after closing, I'm in," she said.
"We're hanging out after work, you guys coming with us?" Stephen asked.
"I guess that's nice," Logan replied.
"Well, we wish to go to Bed-Stuyvesant and walk around seeing where we can get dinner," he said.
"You guys decide where and we'll tag-along," Phoebe said.
"Nice! I'll tell them," Stephen said before going back to the others.
"Let's do this again, please," Bailey spoke as she wraps her arms around Gab's arm.
"You should let go of Gab's arm before Phoebe does something to you, Bailey. Sitting here near the waterfront makes me shiver from a distance," Kylie said.
"I don't care what that old lady is thinking because right now Gab is mine," Bailey said.
"You should let fly, Bailey, since I felt numb," Gab said.
"This makes me so sad," Bailey spoke as she let go.
"Bailey, we're still together. You shouldn't lose heart. See the city lights of Manhattan. It's wonderful," Gab replied as she watches each light up the night sky.
"You always understand things out of the ordinary Gab," Bailey spoke as she looked at the city across them.
"We should do this again," Kylie said.
"It's great to be young," Logan said.
"I agree but I'm glad being an adult too," Phoebe replied as she lay her head on Logan's shoulder.
"Next year, we will get married. Are you excited?" he asked.
"You can never imagine how excited I am Logan but I'm nervous," she replied.
"We'll be together soon," he said.
"We should go," she said.
"You're such a killjoy, we're getting serious with our conversation and now you need to go you wish to go," he said.
"There is always a next time. Come now, we need to let them realize," she answered as she stood.
"OK," he said.
As the group traveled home to their respective houses, Logan dropped Phoebe and Gabrielle at their house before saying goodnight.
"Catch you later, Logan," Gab said.
"Goodnight Gab," he said in return.
"You should head home. You've been working and I suppose you deserve a goodnight sleep," Phoebe said.
"Today was an exceptional day for me even though it tires me," he said.
"Logan, I'm considering of leaving my job and help Dad at the coffee shop' so you can focus on managing your own business," she said.
"Phoebe, I only come when Uncle needs me to supervise so you need not quit your job, Phoebe," he said.
"Logan, it's my family's business," she replied.
"Phoebe, I understand what you're saying. Once Gab knows the business, we shouldn't worry with these things," he said.
"Try not to overwork yourself," she said.
"Stop worrying too much," he said.
"I'll try," she said.
"Call you soon," he told as he kissed her goodbye.
"Ok," she said.
Phoebe waited for Logan to leave before going to Gab's room.
"Why are you still awake, Gab?" Phoebe asked.
"I'm still figuring out if we should make a seasonal drink for the cafe' or not or if we are doing a seasonal drink," Gab replied.
"Gab, aren't you tried going to school and work?" she asked.
"Well, I'm getting tired sometimes but I don't regret doing it. Why do you ask? She asked.
"Gab, I was contemplating of quitting my job," Phoebe replied.
"Phoebe, quitting your job is not a solution to freeing me from my obligations at the coffee shop," Gab said.
"Gab, you're too young for these," she said.
"I don't think it's impossible for me, for Logan's case, I will talk to him once this semester is over," Gab said.
"We should rest, I felt tired," Phoebe said as she settled Gab's bed.
"Phoebe, go to your room, sleepyhead," Gab said.
"I'm tired of going to my room. Phoebe, turn off the lights when you're done," she said.
"Can you wake me up tomorrow around seven in the morning?" Gab asked.
"That early?" Phoebe asked.
"Phoebe I'm heading out to the café to open," she replied.
"Gab, sleep now," Phoebe said.
"I guess so, goodnight, Phoebe," Gab said.
