"Hello! Is Gab around?" Cali asked.

"Yes, I'll be right back" the barista said before leaving Cali by the bar.

"Cali, I almost call you," Gab said.

"So, you're here, Gab," the barista said.

"Cali, she's Bailey one of the barista in the cafe'," Gab said.

"Gab's future sister-in-law," Bailey said.

"Why do you need to say it, Bailey?" Gab asked.

"Because you never introduce me to anybody," she replied with arms crossed.

"Bailey, I don't think so," Gab said.

"Cali, please bear with her," Bailey spoke as she diverted her attention to Cali.

"Gab and I, we'll work together," Cali said.

"Enjoy your time working on your paper," Bailey said.

"Bailey, thanks," Cali said.

"Bailey, the customers need your attention," Gab said.

"He's not a customer," Bailey said.

"We'll be leaving soon," Gab said.

"Nice meeting you Cali, sorry if I can't talk to you long enough," Bailey said.

"It's ok Bailey, I guess I'll come here again once I'm free," Cali said.

"That's outstanding!" Bailey said.

"Well, I'm glad you two are getting along but Bailey has to go now," Gab said.

"I get it, catch you later Gab," Bailey said before going back to work.

"Call you later," Gab said.

"Did you have breakfast before coming here?" Gab asked.

"I wasn't able to since I woke up late. My friends and I flew to a birthday party last night," Cali replied.

"Let me make you a coffee before we head out to the park," Gab said.

"Thanks, Gab! I appreciate it," Cali said.

"No worries, you're in my territory so I should treat you right," Gab said before heading to the bar.

As Gab was doing Cali's drink, Cali observes how Gab does her drink since she stared at it as something to note.

"Well, here's your coffee and croissant. Just tell me if you need something else," Gab said.

"Is this mocha?" Cali asked after having a sip.

"We called it "Bicerin" in Italy, it's richer in flavor and we layer the ingredients in a small glass," Gab said.

"It's a good pair with the croissant," Cali said.

"I'm glad you like it," Gab said.

Cali started taking pictures and taking notes along the road as Gab tells her a brief description of the park.

"I can't believe that this place was once a sugar factory. Everyone enjoy the park, but I wonder if they have any idea what it was before," Cali said as they were sitting at Tacoccina.

"From what I know, people care less with history as long as they are enjoying the present," Gab said.

"Tell me Gab, do you care with one's history?" Cali asked.

"I do because it helps me understand the place or person more and I will act," she replied.

"So, if I tell you my history, will you be able to understand and act?" Cali asked.

"That looks to be a complicated question," Gab replied.

"I apologize, I shouldn't ask such a question," Cali said.

"History can be intriguing and has secrets that shouldn't show. Once an individual is aware of the past, he might change his plans now and as a result, the future will change," Gab said.

"That's why people bury the past," Cali said.

"One thing I avoid doing is mingling with somebody's lives," Gab said.

"You don't want to get personal?" Cali asked.

"Maybe," Gab replied.

"I guess we should walk near the waterfront," Cali said.

"We should get going, it will get dark soon and go home early," Gab said.

"Gab, don't worry. I'm not in a rush to go home. I want to stay longer," Cali said.

"Well, I don't mind walking you around," Gab said.

As Cali traveled home that evening, Gab traveled back to Blind spot cafe' to help the staff with closing.

"I don't mind if you didn't come back Gab since you have to do your schoolwork with Cali," Bailey said.

"It is easy to do," Gab said.

"If you only realized how jealous Bailey earlier Gab was," Stephen said as he was mopping the floor.

"What are you talking, Stephen? "Gab asked.

"I'll make it simple; Bailey sees Cali as a rival to your attention," he replied.

"That's not true! I know Gab will always be my friend," Bailey said.

"Cali is not a rival of no one, ok? She's just my partner for this class," Gab said.

"How long will you do this paper? "Bailey asked.

"Once we finished visiting the places, we must organize every information for each place," Gab said.

"Do you think Cali and you might be friends?" Bailey asked.

"I don't plan on being friends with her," Gab partners with her," Gab.

"What will you say if she asks you to be buddies with her? Gab, chances of liking you as an individual is possible, and she looks to be a kind person," she said.

"My answer is no," Gab said.

"But differences from one another may be the very essence of being together," she said.

"Why are you so interested in her anyhow, Bailey?" Gab asked as they moved out of the cafe' after finishing their task.

"I sensed that having many friends still make you very lonely and depressing. That's what I saw in her earlier and I believe you have what she needs," she replied.

"I wish not to play the superhero even if you're right Bailey," Gab said.

"Even if you say that, you can't deny who you are, Gab," she said.

"Who am I?" Gab asked.

"Cali might help you with that if you allow her," she replied.

"We should go home, Phoebe is expecting us for dinner," Gab said.

"Always changing the topic when getting serious will not save you every the time," Bailey said.

"For now, it will save me so walk before I get Phoebe's name on my phone screen," Gab said.
