"When will you come back?" Paige asked while he and Gab were sitting on the stairs at Pebble beach.
"I'm not sure," Gab replied.
"If it don't work?" he asked.
"I guess go back to my normal life, plan for the future," she replied.
"Why now?" he asked.
"Better that I ask him myself that question," she replied.
"I don't understand why now," he said.
"Paige, I cannot answer your questions I want to ask," she replied.
"I'm asking because I knew you'll get hurt again if you meet him and things won't go well," Paige said.
"I'm giving him a chance and I'm giving myself a chance to fix this," she said.
"Gab, you're doing well here in New York. You need not bother yourself with an ugly past," he said.
"An ugly past that I need to confront," Gab said.
"Promise me you will call me if that guy hurt you coz I will fly to where you eat him until he realizes he was an idiot for putting you in the orphanage," Paige said.
"Paige, Uncle Angelo will handle him first before you do," Gab said.
"I will still bring you back here," he said.
"Is my cousin going to cause trouble Gab, if he will be violent with someone, I'll make him straight before the cops do," Bailey said as she joined them.
"He's not causing any trouble, Bailey," Gab said.
"Oh," Bailey said.
"I got the letter; can I trust you with this?" Gab asked.
"Are you revealing yourself with that letter, Gab?" Paige said.
"Yes, you?" she asked.
"I will soon," he replied.
"You two been playing criminals while she has to play detective this time," Bailey said.
"Bailey, I got too many secrets, this one has to go since she deserves," Gab said.
"Don't worry, I'll talk to her for you Gab," Bailey said.
"Thanks, Bailey," she said.
"Shall we go back to the cafe?" Paige asked.
"Yes, we should," Gab said.
Paige traveled to work after talking to Gab that afternoon.
"So how does your plan go, Paige?" Jared asked while he and Paige are preparing the bar for tonight's shift.
"It worked well as expected, thanks for the help with the video," Paige replied.
"I don't understand why do you need to be shady Paige," Jared asked.
"I'm not lucky with girls," Paige said.
"Who's not lucky with girls?" Uncle Ricardo asked.
"Paige, Uncle," Jared replied.
"Well, girls here say otherwise since they was coming asking for Paige," Uncle Ricardo said.
"Uncle, girls that caught his attention" Jared said.
"Is Gabrielle one of them Paige? You'll get killed by Angelo if you hurt his poor baby," Uncle Ricardo said.
"Gab and I are friends, Uncle, nothing else. I'm not doing something wrong to get Uncle Angelo mad at me," Paige said.
"Good, because I still need you here," Uncle Ricardo said.
"Jade, Uncle that Paige worries," Jared said.
"My boy, has your past been bothering you now? Gabrielle looks troubled, I gathered that Jade's involved. What a small world we're in that you youngsters must live in," Uncle Ricardo said.
"Crazy how I and Gab has a past with the same person," Paige said.
"Well, I guess that time has come, Paige," Jared said.
"Good evening, Uncle Ricardo, I want to ask if I can borrow Paige for a moment?" Jade asked as she stood behind the bar.
"Sure, take your time, dear," Uncle Ricardo replied.
"Thank you, Uncle," Jade said.
"I'll be back soon," Paige said to Jared.
The two left Jared and Uncle Ricardo to talk.
"What?" Paige asked.
"I wish to ask a question and I hope you will cooperate for I am not here to cause trouble," Jade replied.
"Well, what question do you want me to answer?" he asked.
"Is Gab doing well?" Jade asked.
"She is doing well I suppose, but she is going back home to meet her dad," he replied.
"Isn't Uncle Angelo her dad?" she asked.
"We think the same way," he replied.
"So, she's leaving," she said.
"I don't see it bothers you," he asked.
"Cali likes her and want to be friends with her," she replied.
"If you want to learn if Gab sees the same way, I'll tell you she does, but she has no intention of being friends with Cali because you're with her and she still cares for you but I guess nothing will change," Paige said.
"True," she said.
"Ours are same with the one you have with Gab," he said.
"Ours differs from Gab," she said.
"Are you admitting defeat?" he asked.
"In our case, yes but I can't forget what Gab did," she replied.
"Understood," he said.
"Maybe later I will be ready," she said.
"Ok, take care," he said.
"So?" Jared asked as Paige came back.
"She admits defeat from what happens between us," he replied.
"She is a hardcore, huh?" Jared asked.
"Yes, that's why Gab won't even cross paths with her as much as possible," Paige replied.
"Do you consider she assumes that something is going between you and Gab?" he asked.
"Why do you got such questions?" Paige asked.
"Paige, you understand that things going on their brains we can't comprehend," Jared replied.
"Never expect she will talk to me again," Paige said.
"Paige," he said.
"What?" Paige asked.
"You're boring, I should go back to my world," Jared said.
"Good because I'm trying to focus here," Paige said.
